We went here last Friday evening for a celebration with the family and we had a wonderful time! The style and setting makes the occasion magical. Before you go in for your starter you're seated in a separate area to enjoy canopies and drinks before being seated at your table which was decorated with such detail. The silver service and...

Popped in for a drink. Lovely staff, who opened the bar especially for us. We sat outside, on the terrace, and they brought us some uneaten crisps and nuts left over from an event. A perfect stop off at a really interesting house, and it looked like a lovely hotel.

Stayed for just one evening in superior room with dinner included. Room was spotless, with fantastic bathroom, luxury toiletries and crisp linen and towels. The room was traditionally furnished in keeping with the style of the house. The hotel itself is beautiful with immaculate grounds and a nice bar and lounge. The food was beautiful. The menu some may describe...

Wonderful place to eat and stay! Stayed here for 1night with 4 course dinner and breakfast, it was superb. The hall itself, the grounds, the views are all beautiful, the interior of the hall is immaculate, I just could not fault it. The food was excellent, with an amazing choice from a set menu, add to that, faultless service and...

Not my nearest restaurant but always worth the effort of getting there. The four course evening meal is excellent value. It ha enough choice to keep anyone happy. The linen and silver service make it feel special but it is not stuffy. It is so welcoming. The live pianist helps give it a great ambience. Already booked for my next...

The hotel has a general feel of old world, country house charm, with the staff very attentive and pleasant . Our evening meal was fantastic, especially the Chateaubriand steak. breakfast too was great , but we were still full from the lovely meal the...

As usual the reception my wife and I were received when we arrived for lunch was nothing but perfect. Although the building is beginning to look a little tired the general ambiance more than makes up for this and one quickly feels at home. The staff are polite, attentive and simply could not do enough to make our experience a...

No hesitation in...

Lovely stay, we stayed for two nights on a short trip to visit the local area, villages and Chatsworth grounds. The hall is ideally positioned near bakewell for visiting the area if you like that little bit extra of quiet and old luxury. The hall has lovely grounds, which would be nice in the summer. We had a good size...
