An excellent guest house in an excellent location. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and very polite. The room was just amazing, as were the gardens, the breakfasts, the cleanliness, the facilities etc, etc, etc. We will recommend this guest house to our friends and family, and we have already discussed going back again for another visit. I can honestly...

This B&B was in a lovely location with beautiful views over the river. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable - one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. Breakfast was just what we wanted, and nice to have more of a choice than just full English. I opted for eggs benedict and a side of grapefruit...

I was booked here through a walking company and they certainly chose well. My room was freshly decorated, of good size with a very comfortable bed. (Pink and purple happen to be two of my favorite colors, :-) The location is on a quiet almost private street with the river at the back, so it is very tranquil although it...

We found this on trip advisor & late rooms. We stayed two nights in a lovely, light & comfortable bedroom done in a coastal style with fresh blue floral linen. The towels are big & fluffy- bonus points for that! Tea/coffee facilities in the room were good. The breakfast was very well organised & cooked fresh once you sit down,...

We had a lovely stay at riverbank guest house. The room and en suite was very clean, with a four poster bed to top it off! The owners were really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Amazing and generous breakfast with a huge choice. Great location for restaurants and cafés just a few minutes away.

I have just returned from spending the bank holiday in Matlock. Riverbank is in an excellent location in Matlock, close to the park, restaurants and bars. You are walking distance from a lovely walk up High Tor and a short drive away from Dovedale (stepping stones) and Carsington Water, certainly worth a visit. Free parking outside the b&b which was...

We are a group of friends who meet in a different location each year-we met while teacher training 51 years ago! Riverbank was a very convenient situation, close to trains buses and the town but peaceful, near the river and a beautiful park. We had such a warm welcome by the friendly owners and were made to feel so comfortable...

We have just returned from an overnight stay at this b&b. The landlady was lovely and very welcoming. The b&b is in a great location for Matlock town and restaurants and bars. We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was very nice and sufficient for my husband who takes some filling! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Greeted by,'Your too early,we normaly do not allow guests in before 4pm'.Fair enough, but good afternoon, pleasant drive or similar preferred, but checking back through my booking,no mention of any times.Very good location, nice place, but better suited to those of retirement age.Room basic, breakfast tasted great, but little of it,you can ask for extra portions when making breakfast request the day before.I thought the place was...

I am sorry your experience was not up to our normal standards. When you arrived we were still making up rooms and laundry was all over the hall waiting to be counted, and arriving early you took us by surprise . I did ask for an hour to prepare your room. I have checked our booking confirmation and it does...
