Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here about 10 years ago for a friend’s wedding as a couple, came back as a family this year, and it was brilliant both times. Can’t fault anything about it. The owners are fantastic, the rooms are great, the breakfast is amazing. Our 7 year old thought having her own room with toys was the best thing ever! When FaceTiming grandparents, she had to show them the room, and said how lovely the owners were. Lounge area for guests, with games is a really nice touch, a lovely place to spend time in the evening.

We spend three wonderful days here. At the very moment of entering the owners' lovely 19th century house, we knew that everything would be tasteful as well as thoughtful. Beautiful decors throughout, delicious breakfasts presented in fine china whilst overlooking the local park. Our car was also catered for within the property (not in the street) and for those with electric car, there is an electric charger.

This must be one of the best B&B or hotels I've stayed at in many years. The owner's have decorated and furnished the B&B to a very high standard. Their attention to detail is near perfection and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was cooked to your preference and again done very well. We enjoyed out stay with them immensely.

Another very relaxing stay at Glendon House. Always a warm friendly welcome with coffee and lemon drizzle cake, served in the lounge. The four poster bedroom was clean and comfortable, delicious hearty breakfast each morning and great location for exploring the Peak District. Thank you Adrien and Damien. We look forward to next stay.

On site parking and king size beds are what encouraged us to book and we found a scrupulously clean, tasteful and beautifully decorated gem. Fabulous breakfasts supplied by the hosts for whom hospitality is paramount. Can’t praise the Glendon highly enough!

An amazing find! The Glendon B & B was a fantastic place to stay. The whole place was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had room 1 which overlooked the park, it had a four poster bed, 2 leather armchairs and a spacious toilet and shower room. The place had numerous special touches- homemade cake on arrival, sherry and port in the visitors lounge, charming outside sitting area and fresh milk in the fridge in our room. Breakfast was excellent, tasty and piping hot. Fresh local produce was used and the blueberry pancakes were superb. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Glendon and hopefully we’ll be back soon.
