Stayed here for 1 night to break our journey as a last minute decision. Richard the host was friendly, informative, accomodating and couldn't do enough. The room was lovely, great views, very clean. It's a working farm, lovely to see the animals in their fields. Breakfast was excellent, generous portions, excellent service. We would highly recommend staying at Smeaton Farm.
We spent a couple of nights here at the start of our trip and it was amazing. The location is superb for day trips out and the breakfast and dinner were superb. The owners were warm and welcoming and the room and its views were beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Very clean and comfortable rooms, lots of space for us and our 4 month old baby. Breakfast was excellent, good choice, excellent quality. Beautiful idyllic location, we used as a point to visit lots of fishing villages and just unwind. Would absolutely recommend and stay there again.
Mary and myself for two nights on a business trip but shame it wasn't longer as it is just a FANTASTIC place to stay. The rooms and house are IMMACULATE. We done our 4 in the bed check we always do for a giggle as we are not clean freaks but the room/house was spotless not even a spec of dust any where The rooms are nice and a good size with nice big windows giving amazing views across the country side and farm. Plenty of tea and coffee etc, good wifi and a real comfy bed as well..The room was cleaned daily and all your complementary bits topped up. Now for the best bit the food.... For breakfast there is a fantastic selection that is offered but I went for my usual fry up. (Kippers second day and also yummy) The breakfast is nice and big more than plenty even for some one who lets just say can really eat like me...Good fresh coffee ..Good quality and fantastic bacon, sausages and meat puddings my first try of Cornish Hogs pudding YUMMY and Richard is the fried bread MASTER If you can you MUST eat a evening meal at the farm. All the meat is produced on the farm and boy can you tell the pork at dinner was to die for with all the well cooked tasty trimmings and seriously good crackling and plenty of it...I'm keen to go back just to try the farm lamb and beef....Dorset Horn Lamb, Saddleback pigs, Aberdeen Angus beef. Pudding... The Cornish clotted cream rice pudding just proper tasty comfort food I could eat this 7 days a week its so nice. After we had a great selection of Cornish cheese. What more to say but great location real friendly We had a great chat with Richard at breakfast time. All so no worries as deff 100% covid safe/precautions Thanks for a great stay…
Just had 4 lovely nights here. Perfect setting, great food and service. Really helpful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. More than ample parking, plenty of outside space if required. Rooms serviced really well daily and everyone really friendly.
