I chose this fantastic place when proposing to my fiance, and was not disappointed. The staff really went the extra mile to make the occasion feel special, with the attention and planning. They excelled, and I really couldn't have asked for more.

Stayed for one night whilst in the locality on business. Location, accommodation and food are excellent as is the service. Parking onsite. Rooms were very well appointed and both colleagues were also happy with theirs. The breakfast is fabulous and there is an a la carte menu cooked to order. Exceptional value for money and wouldn't hesitate to return for...

Visited here with family and friends for lunch. Prompt service. Good homemade food at reasonable prices, with a reasonable vegetarian choice. Would definitely recommend for lunch if you are in Ripon. Alcohol prices about average £3.40 for a pint of Guinness, £3.95 for a large ( 175 ml ) glass of wine.

Interesting parking behind the hotel but only half a minute from the main square. we arrived at 2.45 or three rather hungry having had several attempts to find lunch frustrated by "too late" responses. Their answer "no problems, looking after people is our business" or words to that effect. Delicious food, wide choice of good well conditioned beers and comfortable...

The breakfast was delicious the usual full cooked and other things like Kippers , Omelette's had to wait as they were...

What a treat!! To be honest I did not expect the food to be as good as it was! I am a bit fussy.... A lot fussy!! The food was delicious - I could not fault it! The only problem for me and my fellow diners was that we were over faced!! It felt criminal leaving perfect sea bass!! Our...

We had booked a room not realising that the coincided with a Ripon race day. So when we arrived late afternoon parking was at a premium: so I thank the doorman for ensuring that a space was found for me. Race day certainly makes this a lively place which adds to the atmosphere albeit has its downsides as space in...

Stayed overnight for a trip to Ripon Races. We were made so welcome on arrival and shown straight to our rooms. The rooms look quite spacious on the website but ours was quite compact but had everything we needed including complimentary bathroom toiletries and a coffee making machine etc.... We ate in the pub and the food was delicious. I...
