5 of us had meals. 2 wanted Sunday dinner but were not told at the time of ordering there were no Sunday dinners left. The waitress came back and told us 5 minutes later so we had to re-order. The meals when they came were nice enough but I feel they were a bit on the pricey side. Very nice...

Had a fab stay here ...we had booked in to stay after the race day. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and had a couple of drinks in the bar before we set off to the races. Not far from the racecourse and a taxi only cost £6! We also had the most amazing meal when we...

This was our first visit to Pateley Bridge. The village is so beautiful, friendly and dog friendly and this goes for The Royal Oak. I'd read reviews that it's worth reserving tables at the pubs in Pateley Bridge but I thought surely not on a Monday, plus the village was extremely quiet on our stay. Regardless we reserved a table...

We arrived at a quiet time and were seated promptly. We managed to fit into the early bird (ending at 6pm). We all ordered the fish and chips - all very hot - but there was just something about them - a tangy taste?? Was it the fish or was it the tartare sauce on the side that had curdled??...

advertised as a dog friendly pub but after going in on a Sunday lunch time to get a table I was told there was only 1 table where they allow dogs and that was already taken. turning me away. should not be advertised as a dog friendly pub!

Had a throughly enjoyable meal here last night with friends. The food we had, around the table, was really good, can't fault it. Giving a rating of 4 simply because of the soggy piece of paper on the plate underneath my food. Get rid of this and it's most definately a 5.

Was pleasantly surprised by how nice the food and wine selection was at this place, good price lovely menu choice, worth a visit would recommend for all types of visits. Beer garden area isn't too bad either, right in the centre -couldn't ask for much more

The Royal Oak is well situated in Ripon and is a popular pub with a good restaurant and up to date rooms. When we stayed the bar was very busy and there was nowhere to sit. Parking is behind the hotel, is limited and a little difficult to find. We had dinner, bed and breakfast included and all were very...

This is a lovely clean relaxing pub/hotel in the heart of the city within easy walking distance of the Market Square, Cathedral and river. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good shower in the en-suite. We had dinner in the restaurant which was really good. Good selection, well presented, very tasty and didn't break the bank. The only...

Visited for lunch - group of us ordered drinks and lunch. I ordered a diet pepsi/coke as did a colleague. I was concerned about the odd taste and lack of bubbly texture - it was a very flat drink. I have worked as a barmaid during university vacations so I'm aware the pumps do sometimes fail to work efficiently. I...
