Detailed Reviews
I attended a meeting at the local Masonic hall and after hearing the cost of staying in a local hotel that one of my friends had booked into I decided to shop around. What a find this place was, I paid half as much as he did including a full English breakfast (his would have been £12.00 extra) My huge bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up the next morning, the room and en-suite shower and toilet were spotless, the food was delicious and Judith and Malcolm were wonderful hosts. I will certainly stay there again if I am in the area.

I spent 2 nights recently in the garden room as the cabin was unavailable.
This garden room is at the rear of the house on the first floor overlooking the really lovely landscaped garden. Very clean and spacious room with en-suite shower room. A comfortable bed and the usual b and b room facilities. A little noise can be heard from the cupboard area(shower pumps) but this was not at all a problem for me. Breakfast was served in the dining room off the conservatory and was very nice. I would recommend the accommodation without hesitation and Malcolm and Judith were very pleasant hosts.

We spent a few days here and it was a delightful experience.
Our room overlooking the beautiful garden was tastefully decorated and very pleasant. It was called the 'Lilac Room' and this colour was used as the decorative theme in the wallpaper, etc. We loved going to sleep in the comfortable bed and waking to the cooing of birds and a glorious view over the garden. The bathroom (shower only) was in mint condition and generously stocked with toiletries, while there was an admirably wide range of teas and coffee if you wanted to make a hot drink
But the best aspect was the wonderfully friendly and caring attitude of Judith and Malcolm. They are charming and interesting hosts and we loved the superb Continental breakfasts, including fruits from their own garden. We enjoyed cereals and home-made yogurt with four choices of nuts to add to them, then moved on to croissants and rolls, with cheeses, ham and jam, etc. also available.
If I could award six stars they would be well deserved!

Judith and Malcolm were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The 3 rooms we've booked were fantastic, super clean and wonderful view of the garden. Breakfast was superb. The garden was beautiful and well taken care off. We enjoyed a lazy morning on the deck admiring the view. I will definitely aim to come back with my husband for a romantic break 😊

Very comfortable room with private bathroom across the hall, homely feel, great breakfast with homemade produce, friendly hosts, beautiful garden & lovely countryside all within easy reach of Sudbury. A real find.

Lovely location and very quiet in spite of relatively busy Melford Road. Lovely garden and I was lucky enough to be able to doze in the sunshine. Easy walking into town where there's all the amenities you would expect from a small market town. Lovely water meadows across the road too. Didn't get to meet my hosts but all the arrangements went very smoothly.

Excellent. Comfortable, clean, spacious and all the appliances worked. The owners were friendly, courteous and helpful. Sudbury, itself, is a laid-back, friendly town of history and character. Had a great weekend.

We received a warm welcome from Judith, and were shown to the ' garden room '. We met Malcolm later. A really lovely couple.
We got the cabin for the second night. Both nights accommodations were comfortable & quiet. The garden was resplendent in the June sunshine.
Took in the river/field walks opposite the house. They are fabulous, as is Sudbury, and surrounding towns and villages.
We highly recommend ' The Cabin ' and it's friendly caring proprieters.

When I am away from home with work I look for places that I can feel comfortable, relax and still manage to get some work done in the evenings.
For a number of years now my place of choice in Sudbury has been The Cabin for the following reasons:
1. The hosts Judith and Malcolm are quite the most welcoming people without being over the top (as a rule I avoid B&Bs as they can often be claustrophobic)
2. The Cabin - my semi rural retreat - I would love one of these myself. VERY comfortable and plenty of space.
3. The garden that the Cabin is in - Judith and Malcolm have the sort of garden that I could only dream of; beautifully tended and great for a warm evening.
4. The location (a) - over the road from the Water Meadows - ideal for an evening roam after work.
5. The location (b) - two minutes walk from Youngs Chinese takeaway which is one of the best I have found.
6. The fact that you can combine the Chinese with the garden on a warm evening.
7. Sudbury itself is hard to beat on a sunng spring or summer evening - idyllic, chocolate box, Constable paintingesque etc. Love it.
8. I would love to have the opportunity to share this place with my wife! Something that I have not been able to do but would recommend to anyone looking for a stop over with someone special.
Thank you Judith and Malcolm for yet another wonderful stay and I hope I will not only be back in July but also for a longer trip in September (God and clients willing!)
