Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lovely place to stay. We felt really looked after. Breakfast was very hearty. Will definitely stay again. Marvellous views over the meadows. Very close walking distance to town and lots of good places to eat.

The Mill house was a wonderful experience.Great setting, great hosts and views to die for.We stayed there to attend a friends 70th birthday party held nearby .We were fortunate to be shown around this medieval house by our host Maria. It's dog friendly too so it makes it an easy choice when considering where to stay for dog owners. We will visit again soon Carole & Steve. London

With my sister and her husband flying in from the States, myself and my wife living an hour away and my brother and his family living in Sudbury, we all gathered for a four-day family reunion. I tried to book the same hotel as my sister but they don't allow dogs to stay in the rooms. Fortunately, the Mill House B&B do allow dogs (we have two) and it is only a two-minute walk to the hotel where my sister was staying. Luckily, the hotel allows dogs into their bar and this is where the whole family met every night. The Mill House B&B was a great place to stay. The scenery out back was super. The breakfast was yummy. And those running the B&B were very friendly and very accommodating. For our next family reunion, we will definitely return to the Mill House B&B.

Myself and my husband visited as we travelled for a wedding. Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect! The gentleman that greeted us was kind and very welcoming. He explained everything you us very clearly and was extremely helpful. In the morning he presented us with the most beautiful breakfast and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The bedroom was beautiful and the bed was so comfy! We both had a very good night sleep. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

A home away from home, spectacular view with old world charm right on the meadow. Don’t think I’ve had a better breakfast experience. Rooms are all unique and modern, in a building hundreds of years old. Loved the friendly host, who could not have been more attentive, even got up early on day of departure and sent me with packed snacks and sandwiches as I left early to catch a flight home to Canada. Will be back. Loved the stay, so close to the town square we walked everywhere.

I would like to thank Mr and Mrs Mills for their efforts to make our stay a great one. From the moment we entered their lovely, quirky home ( it is a must for the vintage and historical amongst us) Mrs Mills could not do enough for us, Mark cooks the perfect free range eggs and locally sourced produce, a lazy breakfast in the open conservatory was a delightful way to start the day. Overlooking the river with the beautiful wildlife was just a bonus.

This B&B is charmingly quirky. If you are looking for modern minimalism then this is not the place for you. The property is very old and decorated accordingly complete with an array of ornaments. Our first floor room was spacious with an amazing view across the water meadows. The patio doors lead out to a balcony which had a small table and two chairs, perfect for an early morning coffee. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was described as continental but it was so much more than we were expecting with delicious scrambled eggs, sausages and a wide selection of other goodies all served to our table. The only negative was that the toilet was noisy but this should not distract from overall value and charm of this lovely B&B. I would be interested to know if they found the cat 😉.
