This was our first visit to daisy cottage but we are regular visitors to the area.
The cottage itself could be something really special but a few pointers let it down.
1 it’s in desperate need of a good deep clean and attention to detail, lots of dust about and limescale in the bathroom.
2 we had no bed linen on the second bed for me daughter.
3 the hot tub has no suitable covering so can’t be used in the rain.
Good things however were that tea and coffee were supplied and the cottage was very unique.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone who cannot mange stairs well as they are extremely narrow.
On the whole our stay was fine but for over £500 for 3 nights I would expect higher standards.

Thankyou for taking the time to leave us some feedback, we apologise you did not enjoy your recent visit. Customer satisfaction is paramount to us and we are currently in the process of renovating our log cabins and cottages however we are a 3* accommodation and we feel the pricing reflects this. The beds are made accordingly to the amount of guests staying and we do ask for any special requests e.g. separate beds etc to be stated at the time of booking. Never the less if you had made us aware of this we would have been more than happy to make any additional beds for you.

We travelled with our 2 young children and booked here due to the close proximity to Alton towers, which is about 10 minutes away. Overall, it surpassed our expectations.

The raddle is really out in the sticks and offers stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

We stayed in log cabin 1 and whilst the decor was a little dated, it was comfortable and clean and the decor didn’t detract from our stay in the slightest. The cabin was really well kitted out from a self catering point of view.

We ate at the pub both nights and is literally a 30 second walk away from the cabins. For both nights we are in the outdoor dining pods which were a really nice point of difference , and on both nights the staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The food is your typical pub grub and is reasonably priced for portions that will leave you beyond full! The steak and ale pie especially was good.

We’d definitely return here if going to Alton towers again. The accommodation was reasonably priced and was better than we expected given some of the other reviews. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

We booked 1 overnight stay with Breakfast in a Cabin with a Hot Tub, this was £150.00. Definitely worth the money, just because you would usually pay over the odds for a Cabin with a Hot Tub.

When we arrived and the location of the Cabin/Inn is great. Wonderful views of the Countryside. We parked on the car park and walked into the Raddle Inn to check in and was given a sheet of paper with Breakfast options on to circle and also some information on the Hot Tub. We were then given the Keys to the Cabin.

We drove the car around and found a car space plenty big enough for our SUV.

We stayed in Cabin 4. It was really warm when we walked in and smelt a bit odd. But we left the door open for a bit to air it out. The Cabin itself is a bit dated, but I think it was great for the price and it was very clean!

Nearby is a public footpath and we went for an hours walk.

We had booked Dinner at the Raddle Inn and Oh my god, the food was amazing!
We went for the Fish of the day and a Beef Lasagne. Both were huge portions and piping hot! The Waitresses were really friendly and the pub was nice and cosy.

We went back to the Cabin after Dinner and went into the Hot Tub for a while. It was a bit tricky to get the cover off in the dark, but we managed! :)

The Hot Tub was really clean and nice and hot. A nice way to relax and unwind. Super private too as the Hot Tub is just around the corner of the Cabin.

The bed was comfy and we had a great nights sleep.

The next morning we went down for Breakfast and it was amazing! We were offered Cereal and Toast, as well as our full cooked Breakfast, Coffee, Orange Juice and Jams etc. The Food came out quickly and we were left alone to enjoy. And we did!
Lovely freshly cooked eggs and Bacon etc. Delicious !

We checked out of the Cabin by just handing in the Key to the staff at the Raddle.

Alton Towers is only 12 minutes away, so a perfect location to if coming to or from the Towers.

Thank you for a great stay! We will not hesitate to stay again on our net adventure to the Towers. :)

We booked a 5 night stay in one of the log cabins with hot tub from 7th November 2021 until 13th November 2021. On the 6th November 2021 we were left an e-mail informing us we were unable to stay in the log cabin due to heating issues.... We were however give a free upgrade to the Rocks Cottage, their on site 16th century (we think) cottage.
On arrival we had a look around the cottage and peeped through the windows. It did look a bit dark and spooky to say the least. However we were shown around by the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. We must admit the cottage was absolutely immaculate. Decorated with a modern feel in most rooms, the entrance room/dining room was entered by a stable style door, into a very old layout with stone walls, A 19th century range within the fireplace, ( not in use but please do not remove it), Quarry tiles to the floors which continued through to the kitchen, please don't cover these floors, they are a nice touch and easy to clean, after a muddy wet walk with a pup and walking boots.
The kitchen then led onto a rear sitting room with French windows leading out to the 8 man hot tub, with a constant 38 degrees and views over the open countryside, and Croxden Abbey in the distance, and set in a private garden. The rear lounge led into the front lounge, sympathetically decorated without loosing olde cottagey charm. with big satellite TV and Wifi.
upstairs was the bathroom with Roll Top Bath and shower above. The landing led onto 3 good sized bedrooms. One with bunk beds, one with a king size bed and the other with a king size 4 poster bed, which naturally we used all week.
The Raddle Inn itself was just across the road, here we had some gorgeous meals and drinks most nights, dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant but they do have plenty of dog friendly tables. We absolutely could not fault the food at all, and neither could we fault the hospitality of all the staff employed here.
Thank you so much for a fantastic 5 nights. Hope to see you again in 2022.

Booked two cabins for a family stay (11 in total). This looked an ideal location after a day at Alton towers.
Disappointed from the moment we arrived! Booked two cabins and both dated, unclean and smelt of stale smoke.
One of the cabins had a hot tub that was not used as clearly not cleaned from the previous guests - full of confetti and slime!
Pre booked a table and pre ordered meals due to the size of our group. On arrival at restaurant the table clearly had not been cleaned - neither had any of the plates or cutlery!
Wen we pointed this out to staff they insisted everything had been cleaned! When we asked to speak to manager we were told point blank No! Eventually the supervisor came out and we insisted the table be cleared and cleaned. However the staff then started to spray furniture polish around the place mats and cutlery! We had to once again insist that the whole table be stripped and cleaned properly! If it had not of been so late we would of left!
Once the table had been cleaned and the food arrived the disappointing service continued - food was raw, cold and drinks served in glasses with lipstick stains and bottles of beer that had not even been in fridge.
Dishes were returned uneaten and drinks not drunk.
We had to request to see the bill and for some reason staff would not share the breakdown on the receipt!
Almost £200 for cold and uncooked food! The staff were rude and unapologetic!
Given the current pandemic we have no idea how and why this hospitality is allowed to continue operating!!!
The location is the only thing this place has and would never ever return!

My husband and I only wanted a 1 night stay locally with a private hot tub which is almost impossible as many normally demand 2 night minamum so we were pleased to see that this was available for just 1 night!
We read some recent reviews before arriving so was a little worried that the cabin was going to be dirty but our worries were unfounded and the cabin was spotless!
The decor was a little basic but was perfectly usable and had everything we needed; it was spacious and even had Netflix and Prime on the TV (a great bonus!) At the price you wouldn't expect boutique cabins but evidently some previous did! I could see a couple of knocks on the walls but this is general wear and tear and were barely noticeable. The hot tub was amazing and was brilliant jumping in it after going out for some food.
We booked on for the breakfast the next morning; I highly recommend this! The food was brilliant and such a big portion! Orange juice as well as tea/ coffee was a nice touch. The one small suggestion I do have is that they should serve Linda McCartney sausages on the veggie breakfast instead of vegtable sausages as it didn't particularly go but that is me just being picky.
Overall, a super break and we will definitely be returning! Please ignore the other reviews and make your own judgement.

We have recently returned from a two night stay. Highly recommend , great views and facilities. Bouncy castle and park was great for our boy. Food in pub was lovely amazing portion sizes and homemade. Cabin maybe little dated but didn’t effect our stay. The kitchen was modern and very well equipped. The staff were friendly our kettle had limescale and they brought us a new one right away the hot tub was lovely and maintained daily . Very close to Aton towers only ten minutes which was great. Will definitely return !

We had planned a couple of days at Alton Towers and as the hotels on site are so expensive we decided to stay near by. We found The Raddle Inn cabins and for £300 for 6 of us, knew it wouldn’t be The Ritz but was very disappointed when we saw the cabin. On entering, the smell of mould and damp hits you in the face, it’s worse in the bathrooms and bedrooms. The place was filthy, it really needs a thorough deep clean. Cobwebs, mould and dust everywhere. It’s freezing too despite us staying in August but warmed up when we worked out how to put the heating on. Neighbours were noisy so none of us slept very well. There was also some questionable stains on the bedding. Unfortunately we will be staying elsewhere next time.

Beautiful location with a lovely view. We were staying one night in between two days at Alton Towers, so it was a great location (10 minutes drive). Having a hot tub was great!! Probably our favourite bit of the visit. We had dinner at the inn and it was pretty good with huge portions. The accommodation was clean and met our requirements, but it was very basic. We stayed on a very warm day and the cabin was so so so hot but no fans or anything were provided. I would have expected 2 towels per customer considering there is a hot tub, but we had read reviews that said similar so we each took an extra towel. Lastly, the breakfast wasn't great - particularly the vegetarian breakfast. The scrambled eggs were so dry with a very weird consistency and the mushrooms were very oily.

We booked Daisy Cottage owned by the Raddle Inn for a short family break and to use as a base for theme parks etc. Picked the keys up from the pub no problems quite a nice meal (dubious social distancing aside) and found the cottage easily. First impressions from outside were ok, a cute little old converted barn with a hot tub on the patio just as advertised. The patio was green and slippery a power wash is needed but that’s a little picky maybe. Opened the door and walked into a smell that hit us like a punch in the face, a damp musty odour wet dog smell. The carpet in the living room was stained and dirty, the sofas were absolutely filthy and covered in dirt and what I am hoping were drink spills. The whole place was just unclean, dust, spills and drips everywhere. Dead squished insects on a lot of walls not wiped off, dirt and grime on every sill and ledge. One of the plates in the cupboard had remnants of food that hadn’t quite been washed off. This could be a fantastic little place but needs some money spent on it, it looks like it was last decorated in the 80’s/90’s. The whole place is in need of a deep clean, redecoration and new furnishings, this is the only way the cost of the place could possibly be justified.
