The Listowel Arms is a wonderful hotel and its staff are outstanding. My brother and his wife who reside in Australia and who also got married there decided to host a wedding party when they returned to Ireland to celebrate with family and friends at home. I was given the task or organising. We decided on the Arms as it...

In three years of been on trip adviser I have only felt the need two write 2 x negative reviews regarding the 100's of places I stay on business each year, the Listowel Arms being one of them. I got a €1 reduction off the bill for two course that I hadn't ordered. The manager increased this to €2 when...

What a stunning old world ivy clad hotel nestled in the corner of this historic little town. The two fabulous girls at the front desk Maggie and Fiona were so welcoming and helpful evening by coming outside to show us where to park, we were checked in very promptly and our room was very nice, we really enjoyed our night...

Had an evening meal here recently and the very pleased with the food (roughly €15 for a main course). For me the Listowel Arms is the best option in the town for food - much better value for money than Allo's imho. It was a fine evening and we enjoyed a drink on the terrace overlooking the racecourse.

We booked a table for 2 at 7pm. on the final eve ingredients of our Ireland break. The restaurant was busy with a few confirmation parties and a birthday celebration too. We were seated straight away , 5 minutes or so later we had ordered and a bottle of wine and water were served. A superb prawn cocktail and equally...

While spending 3 nights at the Listowel Arms, the racing fixture was cancelled due to torrential rains. As our corner suite looked out on the race course, we were able to follow developments from our cozy but spacious room. Staff were helpful, despite the disappointing turn of events and we enjoyed some lovely meals in the Georgian restaurant as part...

The atmosphere is great, the staff are clearly happy and work well together, willing to offer help whenever it was needed. Food and service was tops, and if problems arose because of faulty booking (booking.com had not booked my son and I separate beds even though we had specified this)!) this was remedied immediately. Staff had to contend with an...

I stayed with my family at the listowel arms for a night. The hotel was quaint and charming, with touches of the towns history throughout the hotel. It was a great place for family and the room was clean and cosy with a lovely view of the river. The food was delicious - both dinner and breakfast. The staff were...
