The Ring of Kerry golf club and restaurant is just down the road and has to have the best golf club views ever! We are located 10 km from Kenmare and 16 km from Sneem. Kenmare is a colourful town with lots to offer including crafts, theatre, galleries and a large choice of restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets.

This was the icing on the cake for our trip in Ireland. Barry and Jens were the perfect hosts. The home was so comfortable, clean and inviting. Breakfast was made to order with seconds available if wanted. They gave us great advice on where to go to see amazing sights, gardens and to avoid large busses. They made us feel so at home. If I ever get back to their area of Ireland I will definitely stay with them.

We were returning to Valhalla BnB after our 2022's stay. Again for 3 nights. An awesome stay again. Such a beautiful place. It felt like coming home. Barry and Jens are courteous hosts. The room was in a superb condition as well as the whole BnB. We liked the chats at breakfast even though they were busy to make it an experience for us. Again "The cake of the day" was outstanding. Talk to them to get advise for your trips at the Ring of Kerry it is worth it. We'll definitely come back ! Hugs and love from Hamburg ;-)

Fantastic hosts, fantastic location and fantastic accommodation. Jen's and Barry made our stay here even better and provided us with plenty of local knowledge and things to see out and about in town or on the famous Ring of Kerry Drive. If you heading to this part of the world , you should definitely stop over and spend a few days here. Dave and Claire

Our three night stay with Barry and Jens in Valhalla BnB was one of the best experiences we've ever made in this regard. The place and the house are phantastic: very well equiped and decorated, with attention to much detail and perfectly clean. The breakfast was great too, freshly prepared with high quality ingredients to our order. In addition, Barry and Jens gave us precise informations about what to see, to do and where to dine. So we spent 2 wonderful days visiting the south end and the Ring of Kerry and we discovered new wonderful places we didn't see on previous Ireland trips. Jens and Barry were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The house and gardens are beautiful. The room is very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was amazing. The chocolate cake was an added bonus and so delicious! I didn’t even know it was gluten free! We even got the recipe. We would love to come back. Thank you, Jens and Barry for everything! ❤️

Barry & Jens are the perfect warm & welcoming hosts who tended to our every need- from insider tips on making the most of the wonderful area they live in to sending us off on our early start day trips with take away coffees and homemade cake. Theirs is a beautiful home and garden where you breakfast with spectacular views and have full use of their living room making for a real home from home experience. The tasteful rooms are fully equipped with all necessities from coffee/tea making facilities to international plugs. It’s the ideal place to stay for a Ring of Kerry trip.

We've been staying at lots of B&B's before, but our stay at Valhalla left us speechless. Barry and Jens are outstanding hosts. The room was very comfy and in a superb condition. The room was fitted with passion like the whole house. The breakfast was served with love for detail and was very very tasty. And the Cookies...you must try ! If you don't want them at breakfast you'll get them for take away. Yes and not to be forgotten : The Scenery ! Valhalla lies embedded in a beautiful scenery with view at the Beara Peninsula. You will be good advised to get tips for your exploration of The Ring of Kerry from Barry and Jens. We visited places you won't find in Ireland Guides ! Outstanding . Thanks for Your Hospitality ! I can't say enough good things about our stay here with Barry and Jens. They were fairly perfect hosts. They were very professional while being warm and engaging. It felt like being welcomed into someones home while being a surprisingly luxurious experience all at the same time. It is incredibly clean and well furnished. The bedroom, guest sitting room and breakfast spaces were beautiful and interesting with a gorgeous view over Kenmare Bay and the Beara peninsula beyond. A 3-course breakfast was really well presented and delicious. Lots of local knowledge if you want it. Easy drive to good restaurants in Kenmare. It is on a large property well away and up a hill from the road. It was refreshing to be away from the town and anyone else but 10 min drive to town when needed. We only stayed two nights but more would be ideal. It is right on the Ring of Kerry drive and a perfect central location to do easy day trips for Ring of Kerry, Beara peninsula, and Killarney National Park. We stayed as part of a longer road trip but there is great advantage to staying one place and doing day trips versus moving from place to place. This is the perfect location to base yourself out of for a few days of exploring by car. Wishing you both all the best and hope to return some day.…

We loved this BnB. The views from the room were incredible, even on the rainy day which happened to be the case when we arrived. It was a short stay for us but the room had everything we needed and the house was impeccable. Hosts were very nice and gave us tips on Kenmare pubs, which turned out to be accurate. Breakfast was great, especially home made jams. It is few km from Kenmare so keep it in mind if you are looking for something that is walking distance from the pubs. We would definitely come back if visited Ireland in the future.
