Tom and Maura were exceptionally thoughtful and helpful and Shelburne Lodge is a reflection of their gracious hospitality. Our room charming, breakfast the best is Ireland, and along with a friendly staff and other happy guests, our stay was lovely. Dreaming about a return visit.

I can't say enough about this beautiful mansion. The history behind the house is very interesting. The room was lovely. We had one, for lack of a better description "hurricane" day, where we stayed in and enjoyed the warmth and comfort of the parlor. It was fully stocked with interesting books, and we read until about 4:00, when the rain... More

We stayed two nights here and it was our favorite B and B in Ireland. The hosts were helpful and welcoming. Maura helped us plan a boat tour. The food was delicious. Our room was a large attic room which was charming. There are antiques everywhere. Because of all of the antiques, I'm not sure this would be a good... More

The house is in walking distance to the town and the hosts, Maura and Tom, will give great suggestions and even make your dinner reservations. My only... More

What a delightful place to stay during our visit to the Ring of Kerry. The hosts are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were delicious both mornings and our host even packed us a "to go" breakfast the morning we had an early departure. Would definitely come again!

I took a quick trip to Kenmare to enjoy some walking around Derrynane on the Ring of Kerry. I stayed 2 nights at the Shelburne Lodge and was given a lovely spacious room with double bed at the front of the house. The power shower in the bathroom was amazing why don't all Guest houses have them (important after a... More
