My wife and I went to Ireland for our 25th anniversary. We had spent a few nights in other cities, including a not-so-pleasant experience with a B & B. Hawthorn House restored our faith in B&B traveling. Mary was incredibly welcoming, stopping just short of hugging us upon arrival. The place had ample parking, which was nice because we wound...

This is a nice B&B right in town. Just around the block from everything. Ample parking, but wifi could have been stronger. Great price and breakfast. Rooms are well appointed. The host was very friendly.

We spent a great couple of days at the Hawthorn House in Kenmare. It's conveniently located, just on the edge of the 'downtown' area across a fairly busy street from some shops. Nice parking in the rear, the room was fine and pretty 'airy', breakfast was good, and Mary was a great hostess. There's a nice cozy common area on...

Beds and rooms especially comfortable, breakfast was wonderful and served with nice little touches and friendly service from Mary O'Brien and her staff. Mary is a very welcoming hostess, and the B&B is very well situated in walking distance to everything in Kenmare. There is ample parking behind the house. We enjoyed our stay in Kenmore very much.

Great location on a main road across the street from the main shops and pubs. Breakfast was good with good choices and plenty to eat. Staff were great: helpful, easy to work with. The room was large by European standards, and the bed was good. The bathroom was OK. The carpet was very worn, but the 60's decor was otherwise...

Mary O'Brian was a wonderful hostess. Her welcome was warm and sincere. She made us sorry to be leaving after only spending one night there, but we had to get on with our self guided tour of the Ring of Kerry. Our room was a nice size and quite comfortable. The location is within a few minutes walk of local...

Reading through the reviews of Hawthorn House you will see regular complimentary comments about Mary. They are all correct. She is a really lovely lady and as well as having a great sense of humour she runs a very efficient set up. On arrival there is a car park at the back which has ample space to accommodate everyone's car....

Stayed only one night but this would be a good location for sidetrips. Clean comfortable room. Parking in the back of the B&B. Mary was so welcoming and helpful. Location is perfect just off the main street. Breakfast was very nice.

We stayed with Mary in 2014. We didn't anticipate traveling to Kenmare but when we did we stopped at Hawthorn House. Mary was so pleasant. We told her we were looking for two nights, she only had one available so she put us in the Honeymoon Suite. Such a beautiful spot, awesome workmanship and very private. Couldn't have been more...

Had a good stay here. Nice location, just a minute or two from main streets, but on a more quiet street. Breakfast was good, but started a bit late (and I was given no information about start time). Parking behind the building, which is nice
