I am torn between saying how i liked the staff, excellent location and fab breakfast or saying how much i hated the night club underneath us on saturday night. I was just drifting off as the tunes kicked off. I would never be able to come back and stay here again at the weekend cos i know i wouldn't get...

I booked the Emmet as a surprise for my Husbands 50th birthday, not a wise choice! The evening was lovely in Clonakilty but in the hotel in the early hours we were greeted to the noise of the nightclub!!! In room 12 it felt like we were in the middle of it!! My husband complained but was told it's on...

I stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of October to get away for the bank holiday weekend. I would have got more sleep and rest if I had booked into a zoo. For reasons beyond thinking this hotel has a nightclub that runs on Saturday and Sunday nights although it is...

Just back from spending the Bank Holiday weekend here..lovely little hotel, right in the centre of Clonakilty. Beautiful little square opposite the hotel and lots of parking. Staff were all so friendly, from the lovely man that checked us in to the witty barman and all the other staff who helped make our stay very pleasant. Our room was a...

This hotel is not an option if you wish to have a restful, undisturbed sleep. Located in a beautiful Georgian square, for some unfathomable reason, they have a nightclub license. The nightclub finished at 3am on Saturday. Earplugs not sufficient for the music coming in to our room. This was followed by screaming and slamming doors as people returned to the...

Stayed here for a night last Saturday. Nice hotel with friendly staff. The food was good as well. It's located very centrally and has a lovely little park across the street. My only issue was that the rooms are over the nightclub and on this night the music was very audible till 2.30am. It was 2am before I went to...

Lovely cosy friendly hotel. Rooms have a boutique feel with lovely touches. Breakfast room is stunning. The staff were very friendly and the gent on check in ( northern accent ) was really helpful. Timmy the barman was a tonic! Check out wasn't rushed and the free bottled water is a nice touch. We will most definitely return.

The Emmet is located directly across a small city square park, where the boyhood home of Michael Collins is included among the other lovely townhouses circling the square, and it's only steps away from the shops, restaurants, and cathedrals. It's a historic, charming hotel, with a nice restaurant and bar and inviting lobby. There is free parking in front of...

Arrived in Clonakility about 7pm after visiting Mizen Head - hadn't booked a hotel for the night. Drove round looking for a place and saw a sign for The Emmet Hotel. It was graded as a 3* and to be honest we don't stay in 3* hotels BUT this is a wee gem. We loved it from the minute we...
