Had dinner in the restaurant in the Imperial. This restaurant was recommended by a passer-by and definitely lived up to expectations. Friendly kind waitress couldn't do enough for her guests. Food was excellent with decent portion sizes offering excellent value for money. There was a very friendly atmosphere in the hotel although we didn't stay so cannot review the accommodation... More

Great value. Massive portions. Varied menu and as well as kids menu they are also happy to do half portions of everything. Just perfect when you want a good dinner without the hassle of cooking for the family.

We stayed here for one night as everywhere in Clonakilty was booked out. Bedroom was very old, dirty and smelly. Carpet on the floor was filthy, furniture was shabby and extremely dated. Bathroom was terrible, the shower was filthy- black mildew all over the shower tray and around the drain. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. It... More

We popped in here on the recommendation of a friend. It is very dated - we were seated in the lounge and it was very much like a canteen from the 70's. There were 9 of us in total and were a little unsure what to expect but as we were told the food was good gave it a try.... More

We were a group of 12 who decided to get away from the bustling metropolis of Ballyheigue for an overnight stay...One of the group knew Peter (the owner of this family run hotel )...and we availed of b & b at very good rates.....Rooms were spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable...i.e. when we finally made to bed that is.......Breakfast was... Just returned from a 14 day tour of Ireland. The Imperial in Cork was one of the highlights of the trip. From the bartenders to the staff at the check out desk, this hotel was first class. We had 3 rooms, all beautiful. One of us used the spa and talked about it for the rest of the trip! Everyone... More

Went for "high tea" after a pleasant day out in Clonakilty. While the decor is not the most welcoming the food more than impresses.Tasty, fresh and generous meals served by pleasant and efficient staff.Great value will be back!

Can't say anything wrong about this hotel. Very good location, friendly staff, but need little bit renovation there. They trying keep antique style, but look like very very antique :D Food in hotel very simple ,but tasty... I saw a lot family coming there for small lunch parties - christening ,birthday. Car parking with security cameras let you enjoy holiday and not worry... More

Folks, look no further for the best no frills home cooked food in Clonakilty! A wonderful friendly welcome awaits & a banquet of plenty... Best steak I've ever had - anywhere in the world & very generous portions! Good wine list & very reasonably priced menu! Gotta try the Black Pudding starter - yum!! Enjoy....

Restaurant review only - did not stay overnight here. Regularly stop here if passing through Clon. Go here with an appetite and you won't be disappointed. Huge portions of plain food and a very good price. Couldn't fault it really, just don't expect fine dining.
