What a beautiful piece of property. Mary was just delightful and charming. The room was gorgeous and large furnished with antiques and with a king size bed that provided me with the best sleep in weeks. The shower stall was compact yet spacious and modern by design. This house was built in the late 1700s and ensured that the only...

Clonunion House is a working farm just outside Adare, with an interior that doesn’t seem to have changed much in the past 100 years (except that the bathroom is up to date - but no tv, telephone, or wifi). But it made a nice break from the usual run of modern, purpose-built, suburban b&bs; and the hostess was part of...

Our recent stay at Clonunion House was simply perfect. Mary is an extradordinary hostess - friendly, amiable, knowledgable. Her ornate home feels cozy from the moment she brings out a tray of tea and biscuits as a welcome. Our room was stunning - from the moment we walked in, our jaws dropped and I could not stop saying "Wow!!". The...

Easily reached on the east side of Adare, this farmhouse takes one back to the stately dimensions of a bygone era. The rooms are extraordinarily large and roomy and the conveniences are modern enough that you don't feel at all misplaced in time. Mary is an attentive and considerate host and the breakfast is diverse and generous enough to satisfy...

Spent one night at this lovely tranquil B & B. Mary the owner was absolutely lovely, a fantastic hostess and so obliging, she drove my friend and I down to the Woodlands Hotel where we had a dinner reservation. The house which Mary and her family bought 30 years ago from the Dunraven family has great history and we would...

What a wonderful surprise staying in an older farmhouse with beautiful grounds, setting, relaxing furniture , great conversation and hostess. Mary Fitzgerald was a gem. The grounds were so charming and we never felt like we didn't belong. Be sure to check out the horses' memorials.

Mary Fitzgerald and her husband own a beautiful B&B just far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough if you want a change of pace. Their home which is 240 years old and located on a 130 acre working farm, is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Mary was a delight and served us a delicious breakfast every morning....

We just returned from Ireland and while we were there we spent a very enjoyable night at Clounion House. Mary Fitzgerald is a gracious hostess. Our room was huge, furnished with lovely antiques - it even had an extra vanity/sink in the bedroom. Mary recommended a pub for dinner and another one for music. In the morning we awoke to...

A delightful 200 year old farmhouse set in large grounds and set back from the road. We were welcomed personally by the owner Mary Fitzgerald who showed us to our spacious antique furnished rooms she then provided us with tea and biscuits in the beautifully furnished lounge (which is available for guests use) Mary has a wealth of knowledge of...
