Clean, comfortable, and friendly with a fantastic breakfast. Only stayed one night but could not fault it. The only down side, if there is one, is that its about a mile out of Clifden, and beyond a walk after an evening in the town.

Excellent B&B, gentle friendly hosts, great view from our room, clean and good rooms. When you visit Clifden I can surely recommend this B&B. Centre of the town is +/- 15 minute walking, there are some good pubs to eat/drink.

Really enjoyed our stay at Heather Lodge warmly welcomed by Jane and I did appreciate the face washer. You don't always get one. A beautiful view down to the lake below the lawn and breakfast was delightful on blue tablecloths. Lovely fruit and cereals and a lovely cooked breakfast. Thank you for looking after us so well. We did enjoy...

I stayed here for a weekend of hiking with Connemara tours. It was one of the best I have stayed - great location, warm greeting on arrival, spotless room and excellent facilities. The highlight that will encourage me to return was the homemade brown bread and amazing fresh fruit salad. Well Done Heather Lodge, you are a shining example of...

Stayed 2 nights at Heather lodge and really enjoyed our stay. The lodge is very well located just a little bit away from the village center and close to Connemara national park and the Kilmore Abbey, both of which are worth visiting. We appreciated the professional and warm welcome with a nice tea and coffee cake. The room was very...

Thank you for your very nice review, we are delighted that our stay here was so good. Jane

I had a lovely one night stay at Heather Lodge last weekend. I arrived much earlier than check-in time as I was doing the Tour de Connemara cycle and they were very accommodating with taking my bags and letting my park there, despite being full. Parking in Clifden is at premium on Tour day :). Rooms were clean, well appointed,...

Thans Martin, sorry about the wifi but you probably understand how temperamental the internet access is out here. We'd be very glad to meet you again. Jane

This was our 3rd b&B in Ireland, first was OK, in town in Dundalk. Next was very nice, just outside Sligo. This one near Clifden was just as nice as the one near Sligo (quality of the premises and friendliness of the hostess), but the rooms and bathrooms were quite a bit larger than the previous. Jane, our hostess, was...

We absolutely loved our stay. Jane has been a great host, really hospitable and attentive. The rooms are great, the breakfast is overwhelmingly good and the whole stay was memorable. The house is really near the village, and Jane was really helpful when we asked for any advice and recommendations.

“One of the few places I have found a family friendly room/suite with two single beds and one double with a shared bath. The bedrooms are sperated by a curtain/ doorway. The only drawback to this room is that it is on the ground floor and between the main door and parking area, but the external curtains are thoughtfully heavy.”
