We enjoyed Faul House so much on our visit in 2010, we decided to return this year and stayed for three nights with Mike and Kathleen. Gracious hosts who prepare the best breakfast ever. Eggs are collected the night before from the hen house, and you dare not want them scrambled. As Kathleen says , it destroys a perfect egg,...

If you only stay at one B&B when visiting Ireland, make Faul House the one. Everything that has been written in the previous reviews about warm welcomes, great breakfasts and comfortable and spacious rooms is true. For those who like walking, Faul House is well placed for a stroll into town - it's 2 miles out of town, but a...

The only bad thing I can say is that we only stayed one night. My family of 5 (kids 15, 13 ,13) stayed here one night June 15 and could not have asked for a better place. The town of Clifden is a beautiful gem where you could spend days relaxing. The house is close to Kylemore Abbey which is...

We are a young family with 2 children ages 10 and 14. After spending the afternoon on Inish Mor, we travelled from Rosseveel to Clifden on the N59. This drive, the Lakes of Killarney, and the Dingle Penninsula are the prettiest drives we had in 12 days in Ireland. Connemara has left the most enduring imprint on my memory. Faul...

My husband and I arrived at Faul House as strangers and four days later we left as friends! Kathleen and Michael cheerfully welcomed us into their charming farmhouse a day earlier than we had booked, and with remembrance of their stellar hospitality and incredible warmth, our stay with them is indelibly etched in our book of memories forever. Faul House...

We stayed with Kathleen and Michael for three nights but wished that we had arranged to stay longer. If you visit Ireland, you must visit Connemara, and if you visit Connemara you MUST stay with Kathleen and Michael. Kathleen and Michael are what is the best about Ireland. You will not find a better welcome, better accomodation, a better breakfast,...

We've known Kathleen and Michael for 15 years and wouldn't imagine coming to Ireland without staying a few nights (usually a week) at Faul House! They're wonderful hosts, so welcoming and warm. They really make you feel at home. Breakfast is great, (Mmmm! the scrambled eggs and salmon!) and what about those fabulous evenings in the lounge, chatting with Kathleen...

My husband, 2 year-old daughter and I stayed with Kathleen and Michael at their farmhouse at the end of September for 3 days. Driving straight down the day we landed from Shannon, we got lost between Clifden & Ballyconeely. Michael was gracious enough to stay on the call and walk us through till we reached their farmhouse. The first night,...
