Attended our wedding tasting meal in preparation for next June. We have been for afternoon tea on two other occasions. This place is a real hidden gem. So peaceful and tranquil. Helpful easy going staff who will do everything to make you feel at home. And an amazing head chef who turned an ordinary sounding dinner into an amazing treat...

Attended wedding in September. The food was excellent. Left a pair of gents new shoes in room and unfortunately hotel staff not able to locate them. So enjoy your stay but don't forget to pack all belongings. Surprised that this hotel would not have effective system in place to recover items left behind in room.

This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip but I found the place rather cold and unwelcoming. It lacked the charm I'd hoped for and the formal dining room was a strange combination of formality in very modern decor. There was no hot water for a shower. The gardens were lovely though.

My rating is more 3.5. This place has so much potential. It could easily be better. The rooms need to be updated. We stayed downstairs in a garden mews room. Like a previous review the bathroom door was very tin, the hot water was only luke warm and we could hear the people upstairs walking around. The evening meal was...

I have been wanting to visit the Irish Sky Garden ever since learning of it. It is well worth the trip, and the admission charge of 5 EUR is more than fair. Go to the reception desk at the hotel for the key and instructions. It is kind and fair of the hotel to allow non-hotel visitors (as we were)...

My husband and stayed her for our 3rd day in Ireland. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. Everything seems to be very peaceful. We took a walk around the grounds and enjoyed every minute. We ate breakfast at the grounds and it was really good. First time for black and white pudding for me and the waitress when...

My husband and I stayed in the garden mews, across the courtyard from the main house. The room was just ok, there was only one chair, the bath, shower and toilet were behind a thin screen which you pulled back. I prefer a separate bathroom. The hot water in the shower was luke warm on the first morning and would...

My husband and I had a brilliant stay here and it was a wonderful experience especially a visit to the sky garden which has to be seen to be believed, no description could do it full justice. We also very much enjoyed our ramble through the woodlands further enhanced by the warm sunshine. The house itself is magnificent, a real...

We'd stayed in Liss Ard once before, in 2013, and loved it - good food, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. It was expensive but worth it. On this visit, a lot had changed. The causal upstairs bistro was replaced by a basement formal dining room - very old school decor and menu that simply was not good value. Food was...
