So far I've stayed in Driftwood at least 6 or 7 times and every year I look forward to another visit. Situated about 3 kilometres outside Skibbereen it was such a joy to discover. The accommodation is first class, rooms are large and spotlessly clean. If you are self catering it has everything you need and you also have the...

Couldn't say a bad word about this place. Spent an amazing night. Not very many hostels come with a hot tub and spa. Des was the perfect host. Loved his guitar playing and singing especially the song he wrote himself which he performed at the Corner Bar in Skibbereen. We'll definitely be back. I recommend this place highly enough.

There's not a bad word to say about this place. Thanks Des for a lovely stay. Unfortunately we were only here for 1 night but we'll be back. Magnificent place with a BBQ we could use and the hot tub was great.

I am so grateful to have found out about Driftwood. I booked 3 nights after talking to some cyclists touring Cork with whom I crossed paths. Des and Heidi are extremely kind and laid-back; it felt like I was a guest, not in the hotel guest sense, but in the "you're a friend of a friend" sense. The bedrooms are...

Stayed here for two nights and I would highly recommend it. The house is very clean, quiet & peaceful. And of course the hot tub is fab at the end of a day of sightseeing! Des & Heidi were lovely, very welcoming & friendly. Idyllic, peaceful & charming!

I was a guest at Driftwood House recently and though we only stayed a night it felt like a week of relaxation because the area is so peaceful. The house is beautiful and Heidi and Des are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, visiting Lough Hyne, and driving along the coast.

My friends and I loved our time at the very aptly named Driftwood! ... The accommodation was very comfortable but with so much to explore on the grounds (including an outdoor fireplace and hot tub) we didn't spend a lot of time indoors! The food was also out of this world and the hospitality impeccable. The owners seem to genuinely...

My boyfriend and I stayed here 2 nights and it was great! The whole house is very clean and quiet, and Heidi and Des couldn't have been nicer! Breakfast was amazing both mornings, I tried the continental one day and full Irish breakfast the next. The area is great for walking/hiking and relaxing, and is also a quick drive into...

Clean and cosy, home-like. The owners are very gentle. We were supposed to arrive at around 10pm but were delayed nearly 4 hours! Still, the owner of "Driftwood House" was really nice, kept me updated on our way via email making sure we'll find the way. Te area is absolutel stunning, excellent for cycling or walking. There's an open option...
