Excellent food service and lovely staff beautiful hotel getting refurbished at the moment but still hasn't lost any of it's charm third time to stay there I'll definitely be back only one complaint you have to pay 7.50 per night to use their carpark I just think this should be a free service. Highly recommend this lovely hotel 🏨

This is a majestic hotel, however when it comes to the food it’s basic, the menu is Bistro Style, basic enough but for November it would be ok, if it was spectacular. I can only guess that the chef didn’t turn in tonight, but that’s no excuse, the starter selection is poor enough, however when you order their signature chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and you are only told when it’s being served, that you are getting garlic mayo, that’s not acceptable anyway, I should have refused it, but that is an uncomfortable thing to do. The steak was good but the bread just ok, and the chips were fine. I just think for the quality of the hotel, they should offer exceptional food, and on this occasion I cannot say that.

Staff very helpful and friendly upstairs, in the resturant and reception. Food was fabulous except for the poached egg was over cooked. The view from the sea view bedrooms made the stay. I would definitely book this hotel again and location is second to none.

My partner and I stayed here for his birthday! The location is perfect! We ate in the bar and food was extremely good! The staff were also very friendly! I decided I would upgrade our room the the deluxe double! Big spacious room with a very comfortable bed! But there was renovations going in on in the hotel at the time and they started working early In the morning with drills and hammers, directly under our room! The walls are paper thin that we could hear their conversation! I was not happy at all as I paid extra for this room! Very expensive also, as you had to pay extra for breakfast and parking! I also paid €15 euro for a happy birthday plate! Not good enough!

This hotel is undergoing make refurbishemnts so people need to be aware of this. On saying that we had room 207. Has had a make over, beautiful walk in shower. Glorious. Very comfy beds and pillows. House keeping staff namely Kelley was fantastic. All the staff are excellent, could not find fault with any of them. Breakfast not great. Not hot and an extra charge of €1.90 for a glass of juice. Other than that would def return.

I stayed in this hotel with Colleagues while on a work trip. The room was booked very late and it was the early hours of the morning before we arrived. The night porter, who was very helpful, confirmed our booking and price. The room was clean but draughty. I wouldn't mind that as it's an old hotel. I tried to have a shower before bed but there was no hot water. The following morning I was awoken by workmen who were carrying out renovation work in the hotel. I again tried to shower but there was still no hot water. When we went to check out the receptionist tried to charge us €120 more than the agreed price. The staff that morning were extremely rude. I can hands down say it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Nice Hotel and Staff but some slight issues. I stayed over the weekend with 2 friends. The hotel is updating at the moment which effected other guests but not us. My friends had a nice room with updated bathroom facilities. I was not so lucky. Nice room with a fantastic view. However room 102 shower in need of repair because of the constant drip. Keep the door closed when you go out as the floor may be wet when you come back, but again I appreciate this is an ongoing project. Staff were great. We got soaked on our second day and the lovely reception staff took our coats and hung them up for us in their luggage room as we didn't want them dripping on the rooms carpets. We had a nice lunch and breakfast was very good. Lovely attentive staff in all areas of the hotel.

I feel that I need to start by saying that the staff could not be faulted in any way. They were very friendly and helpful throughout. The only room option at the time of booking was a small double room. Small it certainly was but it was also very dated, dark and overlooked all the pipework for the hotel as well as ducts from the restaurant. There was a humming noise all night. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. The bathroom has been recently updated with a great shower and plenty of hot water. We felt the room very overpriced at £133 per night. at £80 I would have thought it slightly pricy. From photographs on the website there are much better rooms in the hotel. I think the rooms we had are yet to be refurbished. We paid the same tariff for a large, light room with stylish decore in Kilkenny.
