The accommodation was quite underwhelming. Neat but a very small room. More like a hostel. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. We had a beautiful meal. Breakfast also was terrific.

I stayed there for the weekend as I was doing the 2km swim in Baltimore. The manger give me a warm welcome and brought me to a lovely room in a quiet location in the house. I asked for this when I booked and he considered my request. In the morning for breakfast he remember my name which was lovely.... More

Rolf's has been a favourite dining spot of ours on trips to Baltimore over the last 10 years, but tonight the kitchen and the welcoming Haffner family surpassed all expectations. This is a 5 star dining experience.

Lovely spot Baltimore and Rolfs is off the beaten track slightly and as there were no Taxis readily available at any time over the weekend it was a bit of a trek uphill at the end of the night (loads of people told us that it was impossible unless we booked one from the nearest town which wasn't worth it... My twentysomething daughters and I stayed for three days in August and we all felt that clearly Rolfs Country House was our favorite place to stay on our two week trip. The Haffner family are fabulous hosts and the restaurant on the grounds prepares top notch meals. We loved the grounds and our simply furnished rooms and were so reluctant... More

What a wonderful place, truly a home away from home. My friend and her six-year old and myself with my 4-year old had a great weekend in West Cork, staying in one of the two-bedroom cottages at Rolf's. Immaculately clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds, a kitchen equipped with everything you'd need for self-catering and a cozy livingroom with an open... More

I have travelled the entire West Cork coast line in recent years and stayed in various B&Bs and Hotels none of which would touch this splendid establishment. Our simple, cosy little room overlooked a vista that stretched across a garden and over rolling fields to Roaringwater Bay. We awoke to the sound of birds singing and the scent of fresh breezes off the sea. This alone provided the relaxing juxtaposition we were seeking after our urban explorations of Dublin and Cork. Rolf's is up and away from... More

I first stayed at Rolfs over 10 years ago and have wanted to return ever since. It was very special to go back with my husband and my son. The self-catering cottage where we stayed was well appointed and many small details were attended to. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, drinks at the wine bar and the wonderful food at... More

It was a perfect lunch on a gorgeous day perched atop the charming village of Baltimore. We have been coming to lunch at Rolf's for years and it just keeps getting better. We sat on the garden terrace and were warmly greeted by Frederika, one of the proprietors, who also waited on us most attentively. The lunch special plum tomato... More
