I was in the area attending a wedding in Loughrea, I was there for one night and I cannot praise Mairead enough. It is fantastic value, she is the perfect host, the breakfast was probably the best I've ever had on my extensive travels and I had the pleasure of meeting her delightful mother. I cannot recommend this place enough... More

Tom and maraid were great. Miss Kitty was so sweet. We saw and talked with Tom more . Maraid is a school teacher, she had to go to school. Tom was a wonderful host. Ask anything he would know. He has horses and hounds that he showed us. There were a lot of hounds. The house is very clean and inviting.... More

Just back from a two night stay with mairead tom and kitty.... Such a very warm welcoming place to stay. Truly a home from home. Excellent service and top marks for a very tasty full Irish breakfast! Just a 10 minute drive to loughrea hotel. Can't recommend this b&b highly enough! 10 out of 10.

I can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and I stayed here with our two boys, a toddler and and infant, and my parents. We stayed for 12 days, so we were a large party with a lot of needs, traveling in Ireland for the first time, with jetlagged kids. We were a handful. We chose Craig... More

We stayed on the 28th of May as we attended a wedding nearby but only getting around to writing a review now. Our stay was great, our hosts were very friendly and could not do enough for us, the room was big, and the whole house was immaculate. The breakfast itself deserves a special mention! We couldn't recommend it more; it... More

We are the luckiest travels ever. No reservations, we just happened upon a great place. Miread is a great host, especially for teachers. She teaches so we had a great conversation over breakfast. Her husband Tom has hunting dogs and horses for fox hunting. Very casual and comfortable. The ensuite shower was wonderful! Hot water and lots of pressure. Not... More

Having visited Mairead at her Bunratty B&B, we finally visited Craig Country House in May, 2014, with our granddaughter. This April, we returned with our younger son and daughter-in-law. The warm welcome and gracious hospitality of Tom and Mairead and her mother cannot be surpassed! And the B&B is as gorgeous as ever. We love that it is not in... More

Mairead and Tom Dempsey made our stay at the Craig Country House this April (2016) very welcoming and comfortable. We were four traveling with one person in a wheelchair. They accommodated our needs in a seemingly effortless way while making us feel at home and at ease. The accomodations and breakfasts were great. We highly recommend this B and B.

This is a long overdue review for a wonderful stay in July 2014. The setting is beautiful, the rooms spacious, and the atmosphere relaxing and homey. Tom and Mairead were outstanding hosts, making us feel absolutely at home from the moment we arrived. Our first evening there, Mairead and Tom invited us into their kitchen to chat and we felt...
