Every area of evaluation is outstanding. Exceptional service and advice from Hostess Mary. If you stay in Lisdoonvarna you cannot beat this B&B. Recommendations to see the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren helped us greatly. Also, great recommendation to eat at the Roadside Tavern paid off with excellent food and drink.

I stayed with my wife two nights at Ballinsheen B&B while visiting Ireland and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Mary was extremely kind since the beginning, by showing us in a map all the "secret" places to visit in the region when we checked into the B&B. She also helped us make a reservation at a...

Mary Barrett and her husband have built, furnished, and lovingly enhanced the most lovely B&B at which we have ever stayed. Words cannot describe the thoughtful planning and detail that went into the Ballinsheen House and Gardens. The home is large and boasts several common lounge areas, both indoors and out. Our room was enormous, featuring a sitting room, views...

Our family of five recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Ballinsheen House. Due to a scheduling error, we were without rooms for the night. Mary made accommodations for us and even let our son (who was ill), check in to his room early to sleep for the day. This was easily the most beautiful property we stayed...

After a day of traveling, resting at the Ballinsheen House was the perfect end to our day. While it was cold and rainy outside, it was nothing but warm and inviting on the inside. Mary and Michael were fantastic hosts, and our one-night stay with them was one of our most restful nights! Quiet and comfortable, we enjoyed a great...

Excellent, well maintained property with comfortable rooms, great breakfast and wonderful hospitality. Mary is a very rare innkeeper. She gave us lots of attention and good advice about touring. The gardens are great and the town close to the areas we wanted to visit, i.e., the Burren, Clifs of Mohren and the entire west Clare countryside. A great introduction to...
