This was a hotel booked as part of our bicycle tour. It was a nice hotel, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The restaurant serves good food. Our room was at the front and across from the cafe/pub across the street. Since we had the windows open we could hear the music and people talking but they stopped...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Rooms were old fashioned but very clean. The bar was not very atmospheric, but there were plenty others in the town! Very central spot to stay when touring the west.

Hotel staff very nice and welcoming on arrival, we were only staying overnight so we had food in restaurant there was one little blip with the food but it was dealt with and the course was not charged. I know there was a mix up in our room and when we arrived they explained they would ring around and look for another hotel but at that stage it was too late so we stayed. Room was excessively small with no room for bags. Washroom was hysterically funny as my hubby could not fit in the shower but the...

We stayed here for two nights of our bike trip in July 2015. Room was fine and serviceable. Had a nice quiet room in the back facing a field. We were with a group staying across the street so did not use the restaurants or bars here. Wi-fi only worked in lobby - that's pretty annoying. Highest shower head I...

We only had dinner in the bar one evening and while the service was good, the food was only average with the exception of the lamb shank which was really tender and just fell of the bone. I ordered the smoked salmon roulade which was badly cut and made with cheap smoked salmon. The prawn starter was made with frozen...

My family and I just completed a five week trip through Europe. In our last leg we stayed in the Royal Spa Hotel, and it was a comfortable retreat from the crazy trip. The hotel, built in the early 1800s is gorgeous inside. Almost original interior, it was a spectacular stay. Inside the hotel there was a bar and restaurant...

My husband, daughter (22 yrs), and I stayed for one night, June 3, 2015. We had the family room with three separate beds. This hotel was just lovely, close to restaurants and pubs but very quiet. The room was large enough to be very comfortable for us and the beds were perfect. The breakfast was wonderful and our host was...

To charge 7.50 for a sandwich by slapping on a bit of side salad is behind the times and very expensive for a location like here. While it was tasty, it wasn't worth the money. The young lady serving was very nice and wanted to make sure that you had a nice experience
