Stopped here for lunch and a demonstration while on an Ireland tour. What a delight! Not only was the farm lunch incredible with homemade scones and jams, but the sheep dog demonstration was a highlight of the whole trip! Would have loved to stop in and just stay for a few days of the farm life. Cudos!

We were on a bus tour and stopped here briefly for tea & scones and to watch the dogs herd the sheep. The farmer/owner and staff were extremely friendly and the scone with home made jam were excellent! Watching the dogs work was mesmerizing, different than watching on TV. The house is, I think, over 200 years old and beautiful.

We had tea and scones in a beautiful farmhouse setting and then watched the dogs herd the sheep. House was lovely, hosts attentive and we loved every minute of our stay. Host even let us hold a lamb. I can only fantansize living here.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here in late September. The hostess, Maired, is a welcoming and warm person who shares her charming home with understated grace. The house is located a short drive to the east of Cashel on scenic country lane less than 7 minutes away. Located in the middle of a 300 acre sheep farm the... More

Our family enjoyed our 3 nights at Dualla House in a peaceful farm setting outside of Cashel. Maired was a warm host and my kids raved about the breakfast crepes, and she made the most delicious black currant and raspberry jams and scones. Beds were especially comfortable.

Welcoming ~ serene ~ comfortable ~ picturesque ~ and more! Mairead and Martin Power warmly welcome visitors to their beautiful home and working sheep farm. Although a bit of a drive outside of Cashel, it is well worth the beauty of the countryside to find it on the Dualla Road. And don't leave without buying some of Mairead's to-die-for homemade... We spent a night at Dualla House during a car trip through Ireland in June 2011. The house was a bit hard to find (though admittedly we were using Google maps, not the owner's directions), but well worth the effort. The house is beautiful, the rooms are huge, and Mairead is a wonderful host. Fresh scones with clotted cream we... More

Dualla House is a wonderful place to stay and it is also a wonderful experience. My husband, daughter and I showed up at Mairead's door without a reservation or even a phone call (we don't usually do this!) and yet she was very gracious and welcoming. The 200-year-old house itself is very beautiful and the rooms were charming, comfortable and... More

Our stay at Dualla House was lovely. There is not a lot of night life in Cashel, so staying a few miles outside of town was perfect for our group. This is a beautiful home on a sheep farm. No, you don't hear the sheep inside the house - it is very quiet. Martin showed us around the huge area... More

Dualla house is a lovely 200 year old farmhouse a bit outside the town of Cashel, decorated in a grand yet pastoral style, all the while very clean and comfortable. Our room was huge (as it looks like all the rooms are), with high ceilings and beautiful antique furniture. Mairead was a very friendly and informative hostess, and we took... More

Martin and Mairead Power invite you to their two hundred year old Georgian House situated in the Golden Vale, one of the most fertile regions of Ireland, amid the superb scenery of the rolling foothills of the Slieveardagh Mountains. Combine a visit to the historic Rock of Cashel, ancient seat of the kings of Munster, with a visit to our 300 acre farm. We acquired the property in the 1950s and now run it as a sheep and grain farm. Groups come to see a well run working farm visitors will find it an easy clean and safe place to walk around and we are only too happy to tell you about our farming operation. We welcome groups - large or small - for guided farm walks and serve tea/coffee or light lunches in our historic Georgian home. You will enjoy a visit to our quiet rural retreat. ... more   less
