There was a breeze coming in the closed window, tried to turn on heating but didn't work. Also the TV in our room had no channels just fuzz. Over all was happy we only had to stay... More

Stopped into Cahir on the way to Cork from Dublin. Cahir itself is about 6 minutes from the Motorway so not too far away. We drove straight up the village and spotted the hotel and went in for some lunch. We travelled with two young children and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food itself was lovely we... More

Room was very dated. Bathroom had duct tape holding the side of the bath on, the extractor fan was filthy, damage to the wall and wardrobe. Mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Reception was not willing to print a boarding pass. Dinner voucher has a separate menu which has very limited options but not advised of this at time of... More

I really enjoyed my stay, a huge room, very comfortable and quiet even though it is in the main street of Cahir. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Old fashioned, charming accommodation. Thank you to everyone there.

The Cahir House Hotel was not our first choice for accommodation when attending a wedding reception in nearby Clogheen. Two other places were booked out and a third was ... well, let's just say I found the person I spoke to too quirky! So the former Butler family home in Cahir it was. I booked a couple of months ago.... More

A very enjoyable stay in Cahir, staff in the hotel very helpful. Our room was adequate with a very nice view of Cahir Castle lit up by the morning sun and the floodlights at night. One comment , we had booked two nights b&b and one evening meal, whilst we were not too fussy it would not be to everyone's... More

We had requested a quiet room at the time of booking and informed the hotel that we would be arriving late in the evening. The room was very quiet and very comfortable, we were so pleased to be able to enjoy a very good night's sleep in the comfortable beds on both nights. Even though the hotel was very busy... More
