We had visited Castle Grove previously and we were very pleased with it. Our latest visit was in winter and we were every bit as pleased as on our previous visit. The welcome was just as friendly and if you have stayed previously you will be remembered. The food is excellent. It is a very quiet hotel to stay in...

This was our fourth trip and are booked in for a further two. Mary and her team have never let us down and all 10 of us are looking forward to our next trip later in the year. Great value venue, set in private Parkland, very peaceful over looking a sea loch. Good food cooked well.

Attended a dear friends 50th Birthday party here. We had flown into Belfast, hired a car and drove the 2 hours to the Hotel. It was a long day and we arrived tired, cold and hungry. Despite a very busy venue (an 80th Birthday Party) the lovely staff sorted us out with tea, soup, sandwiches and some beautiful pints of...

I went here for the New Years Eve dinner. At €65 per head, excluding wine, I expected exceptional food and service. Unfortunately I think that it was overbooked with too few staff and the food was mediocre. We were met with a champagne reception and greeting. The delay in getting food out after sitting for over an hour and not...

Excellent reception from staff on arrival. Stayed in the wb yates room which had a lovely view on a foggy afternoon. Loved the Christmas decor. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Food was delicious and well presented, and had a good variety as a vegetarian. Coffe and drinks followed in the drawing room by the...

Had a really great meal in an ambience of a period country house that welcomes you in settles you by the fire and slows the hectic in your day. Great service in a quiet night in the restaurant left us mellow and smiling and wanting to return.

Castle grove is a lovely place to have a meal. for starter I had chicken fitters which were very nice and came with a lovely BBQ sauce. For main I had the sirloin steak which was delicious. For desert I had a chocolate fundo which was also very tasty but did not have runny chocolate sauce in the middle but...

Dear Guest Thank you so much for dining with us and for then taking the time to share your comments. I am delighted you enjoyed your meal and I will pass all your comments along to the Chef, the chocolate fondant should have been soft/ "runny" in the middle, sorry to have disappointed on that one! I do look forward...

A very quirky old hotel with lots of very quaint rooms to relax in. The rooms are furnished in traditional style, ours was full of period pieces and perhaps cluttered. Our hot water was not functioning and we were quickly allocated a new room. However the settings were still not right, Luke warm but we survived. Breakfasts were very good...

Dear Guest Thank you so kindly for your recent stay at Castle Grove Country House Hotel and for taking the time to post your comments. I am disappointed , I understood the water was quite hot and sufficient once you moved rooms, so again apologies if it was not to standard. The breakfast at Castle Grove is not buffet style...
