Nestled in Letterkenny, the Radisson Blu Hotel garners compliments for its stylish atmosphere and meticulous cleanliness, with guests often noting the property's well-kept decor and thoughtful touches. While the rooms are praised for their modern features and tidiness, some visitors have pointed out that they can be quite basic and occasionally noisy. Service at the hotel is generally celebrated for its professionalism, although a few patrons encountered service hiccups at the reception. The central location is a highlight, offering easy access to local attractions, and the free parking is an added convenience. Opinions on value for money are divided; some find the hotel on the pricier side, whereas others feel the amenities justify the cost. Feedback on the amenities is positive, especially regarding the variety of breakfast options and the quality of bar service, but the gym facilities receive some criticism. Overall, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny promises a pleasant stay with a few areas noted for potential improvement.

I booked to stay at the Radisson Blu Letterkenny for my partners birthday it was honestly such a lovely stay. Clare was so helpful and made the stay so special for us with lovely birthday treats in the room and a fantastic upgrade. As we travelled 4 hours to get to letterkenny on the first day of our stay to break up the journey we stopped in Fermanagh and did the stairway to heaven it was an absolute glorious weekend and we were so lucky with the weather we then drove another two hours to letterkenny and we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and the new guidelines in place due to the current pandemic. We used the swimming pool in the hotel and it was lovely it was so quiet we had it to ourselves most days and again it was absolutely spotless. The staff in the leisure centre were so friendly and happy to help. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was very good super tasty and having the breakfast included we decided to get it as room service to our room and that was ideal was so lovely. We had fabulous dinners at the hotel and tasty cocktails everything was very affordable and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to my colleagues and clients if they are visiting Donegal as it is so easy to get to different places for example Derry, the giant’s causeway, murder hole beach and many others they are just a few of the places we visited within an hour or an hour and 30 mins of the hotel. I know for a fact if I’m coming back to Donegal I will contact Clare and her team at the Radisson as it was absolutely spotless and overall a great experience for a first time visit to Donegal

We had our first post lockdown trip to Radisson.
It was really well organised with foot pedal operated hand sanitizer at check in and outside the lifts. They were also before going into the dining room.
It was wonderful to be able to do something " normal " again.
We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and getting to use the pool which was booked in advance for a 30 minute slot. We stayed for 3 nights.
Great location opposite retail park. We'll be back.

We stayed here the first week the hotels opened after the covid shutdown. So we were a bit apprehensive about the stay.
We needn't have worried. This hotel was above what we expected with regard to covid protocols and coupled with friendly staff and good food we enjoyed our stay.
Note that everything has to be booked, pool, breakfast, dinner etc as they have to limit the numbers in any area at any one time. This I expected so didn't cause me any problems.
The touch of having a small bottle of sanitiser in the room when we arrived was appreciated.
The hotel is located in Letterkenny town, with some great scenery and beaches a short drive away. We went to Malin head and had a great walk and some fantastic views.
We were sorry we didn't book for longer.. but will return !

The Radisson Blu hotel in Letterkenny is a delightful place to stay. Maverick on Reception welcomed us with a wonderful smile & check in was efficient & professional. We booked 2 rooms by separate bookings & when we mentioned that we would like to be located on the same floor Maverick arranged same. Bedrooms are clean, warm with good facilities. Room safe, tea/coffee making facilities. My daughter mentioned that she was lactose intolerant & there was a jug of soya milk on the tea/coffee making tray. She was delighted & this was the first time any hotel has arranged such a facility for her. Just goes to show that Radisson Blue hotel Letterkenny reads their guests' reservation forms & follows up on same. Linen, towels & pillows were of top quality as were the beds & duvets. Spare pillows in the wardrobe & high quality toiletries in the bathroom. Lots of hot water & wonderful shower. Evening dinner in the bar was well priced with nice choice menu (vegetarial options also) & service was pleasant & efficient despite being a busy Saturday night. Breakfast was in a bright, spacious room with lots of friendly staff to bring tea/coffee orders. A good selection of hot & continental breakfasts. I really enjoyed my stay & would rate the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny ahead of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dublin Airport where I also stayed very recently. Thank you all in Radisson Blu Letterkenny for a very nice, comfortable, relaxing & upmarket stay. We will be back :-))

Just home from a week long staycation in the Northwest of which we spent two nights in this hotel and I feel compelled to write a review. What a fabulous property this is complimented by some of the best hotel staff I have encountered in a very long time. The level of professionalism we experienced was of the highest standards and in my opinion, there's few hotels that are capable of extending such a warm welcome. From the first time I contacted the hotel to book, Michelle in Reservations couldn't do enough for me, she was friendly, informative and very accommodating; what an asset to any team! The hotels operations are both safe and secure and while they are going above and beyond to protect your safety during these times with sanitiser, mapped floors, signage and masks, none of it felt clinical or cold which can sometimes happen when there's so many safety guidelines to follow. This hotel has got the balance of safety and hospitality down to a tee and it's evident from when you walk through the door on arrival.
We dined in the bar/restaurant each evening and what an example of how a busy eatery should be run, the team are so well trained that even though the place was full, it ran like clock work and with a safe social distance between each table, it never felt crowded or unsafe. We really enjoyed our food and stayed for two drinks after dinner to wind down after very active days of hiking and cycling through the county, even though they were busy, we never felt rushed which meant we retired feeling very relaxed each evening. I have to complement the young Manager that looked after us on the second evening, he was excellent in every way and what a consummate professional . From the facilities in the hotel itself right through to the staff uniforms and presentation, this hotel screams hygienic. There's crisp white/grey shirts, well tailored suits, spotless aprons in every department and you can tell that Management sets high standards and oversees one of the most efficient hotel operations I've experienced to date and I stay in hotel a lot and have been in this industry for quite some time. We stayed in two five star resorts before our trip to Donegal and while beautiful in their own right, the service just didn't compare to that of the Radisson. Regrettably, I didn't get names but from the lovely blonde girl who checked us in, to the lad on duty on Friday morning in the leisure centre to the food and beverage staff, this team are an example to every other hotel. If you want to see how a hotel should be run, it's my opinion, there's few better out there. Thank you so so much, you exceeded our expectations in every way and we can't wait to return to you again in the near future. Till then stay safe and continue doing what you are doing!!

Booked the radisson blu letterkenny for a few days break. Rang in advance to assure room could accommodate 3 people and to confirm all facilities were open.
On arrival we found hand sanitizer at entrance and screens at reception desk. We were advised our key cards were sanitized too. On asking about the pool and leisure facilities we were advised to find down to leisure centre to book.
We found our room to be small and not big enough to accommodate an extra bed. Room shabby, bathroom missing grout from tiles and paintwork worn and architrave rotten.
We asked to be moved to a larger room but this was equally warn, grotty and generally not pleasant. Light broken in bathroom and the view of the car showroom was horrendous.
So we call down to leisure centre to be told, no sauna, no steamroom, no jacuzzi, no showers. Allowed 30 mins in pool only.
This was no relaxing facition.
Recommend that hand sanitizer should be at lift door on entry and exit.
Recommend that chairs and tables are cleaned in lobby when people vacate.
Recommend that if hotel at only 20% capacity then better rooms are filled first( if they exist)
Recommend that customers be notified on website prior to booking that facilities are not open.

Went for a Friday and Saturday night break. The hotel did not disappoint us. All of the staff that we encountered were so friendly and efficient. Room was on the 1st floor and was very cozy, especially as the outside temperature was below freezing both nights. We ate in the Port bar on the Saturday night and both of our meals were well presented and very good value. The Breakfasts were very tasty and all of the staff did a great job looking after everyone. No problems parking outside the hotel. Will definitely be back.

We chose the Radisson Blue, Letterkenny as we were attending a family funeral and the central location suited us well.

Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a trouser press, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, and ample power points, as well as points for charging your phone/lap top and an internet point too. A bonus for us was the use of an in-room safe, something which is lacking in a lot of hotels.

Each member of staff we came into contact with were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The array of food at the breakfast buffet was fantastic and delicious, as was the food in the Mulberry Restaurant.

COVID 19 arrangements at the hotel are first class, and every table in the breakfast and dining rooms has a hand-sanitiser for your use. Everyone was required to wear a face mask when walking about the hotel.

Certainly great value for money.

Would highly recommend this hotel without a doubt.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a holiday tour of the north west of Ireland. I have stayed in other Radisson Blu hotels but this one did not measure up. The rooms looked like they could do with a total revamp. Worse I would question the level of cleaning during these Covid times! The paper under the cups and kettle on the tea/coffee tray had stains on it! If that wasn’t changed what else was ignored? We ate in the hotel on the 1st night. The food was ok but there was little if any social distancing in the dining room. While staff did ware masks, there was very little evidence of mask wearing by other guests. Surprisingly, buffet breakfast is still being served, and while staff served the hot food, breads and other items of a continental breakfast were self service. Something the hotel might change in these times. The hotel is in a good location for shopping as there are a good range of shops across very busy road. We were lucky to have a room at the back of the hotel, I would not have wanted to be at the front because of the traffic noise. Having spent a few days in the area I felt the attitude to Covid was more lax than in other places and perhaps this is reflected in the hotel.

Response from Johnathon O, Sales at Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny
Responded 6 Oct 2020
Dear AliceQ2011, I am sorry your visit did not meet your expectations on this occasion We have always placed the health and safety of our guests and staff as foremost priority. This has resulted in changes being implemented right throughout the Hotel in our response to Covid-19. We do still offer a breakfast buffet option with items individually wrapped or portioned to reduce shared touch points. The hot breakfast items are served by one of our Chefs and a frequent cleaning of the buffet is actioned throughout service. In both dining rooms is a minimum of 1 meter and in most cases 2 meters and the addition of a booking system allows a much safer and enjoyable environment for you to dine. Our Covid-19 response plan is developing with official guidance continuously and your feedback is very much appreciated to allow us to develop further. This will be shared with our Covid-19 committee I do hope you have the opportunity to visit us again soon Stay safe, Johnathon

A great 2 night stay at the hotel; staff very pleasant, helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the hotel on one occasion / food was delicious (chicken curry and 1/2 roast Hygiene (C-19) standards in the bar were first class. Breakfast was tasty however some breakfast room staff need to be more ‘on the ball’ with current C-19 hygiene standards; some guests need reminded of the entrance / exit procedures. Overall, a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

There was no entertainment the couple of days we were there. I think covid has understandably curtailed such things.

There is a family bar where food is served. There is also a second restaurant within the Hotel without a bar. Both are excellent I might add.
