Travellers' Choice 2018 Winner
Certificate of Excellence
Ireland’s most magical address, Dromoland Castle has been welcoming guests since the 16th Century. The ancestral home of the O’Briens of Dromoland, whose lineage dates back 1,000 years to Brian Boru, one of the last High Kinds of Ireland, we’ve got nobility and hospitality in our DNA. From the imposing baronial façade, to our startling interioirs, you’ll find a world of historic grandeur underpinned by the finest modern comforts. With lavish décor, indulgent dining, fabulous views and magnificent bedrooms, this is a place to feel at home. Behind our warm Irish welcome is the belief that every guest is royalty. Stroll the 450-acre estate. Tee off on our world class golf course. Take afternoon tea by a roaring fire. Relax in our intimate spa. Enjoy delicious cuisine. No matter what your preference, at Dromoland Castle there’s no escaping the sense that you are walking in the shadows of kings. The pinnacle of excellence, come in the knowledge that all your expectations will be met.

From the very nice valet/bellman and front desk clerk to the beautiful grounds and views, not to mention a very well appointed room, we had an amazing time at the Dromoland Castle Hotel. Good times at the bar, as well!

This was our second visit to Drumoland, our first was 5 years ago. Then, the rooms were a little dated, happily, they have done a complete renovation. The hotel is stunning. The rooms are all individually styled, with some of the best facilities I’ve experienced...More

Everything about the stay was perfect. The castle and staff does such a wonderful job welcoming their guests. The rooms were wonderful and all of the details about the hotel were just icing on the cake. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas!

Yes they are in the original building. All the room are connected though, so it is not a big deal to be in other wings of the hotel. This is a fantastic place. I hope you are able to stay there and enjoy it.
