Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

My wife and I have traveled all over Europe. What you should know about this B&B, is that the owners represent the very best of what you could hope to experience in Ireland. Lisa and Garry have created more than a place to stay, rather the opportunity to be around wonderful people, in a place that offers you walking distance to some of the most spectacular views and natural attractions in Ireland. From a golf course with ocean views, to a beautiful beach, to a hike to amazing cliff views. This Town is my favorite place not just in Ireland, but all of Ireland. I cannot put into words how much fun and beauty exist in this wonderful place.
The B&B is clean, beautiful, comfortable, and a short walk to not only the beach and golf course, but dinning, shopping, and of course, traditional Irish Pubs. It’s the Ireland that as American’s we hope to see, but as American’s, we will never find because we only travel to the Dublin’s or other “tourist” attractions. If you are lucky enough to find this little tow, then stay here, and discover the best of Ireland. Amazing people, amazing views creating an amazing trip that you will never forget.

Wanted a place to relax and explore the beauty of Donegal from and Anseo certainly provides this. Booking is very straightforward and prices were competitive. The accommodation was spotless our room was a really good size with lovely ensuite. We had only a short walk into the town. Horn Head and Fanad lighthouse are a must see if in the area.
However the highlight of our stay was the cooked breakfast provided by Anseo, one of the best I have had anywhere. My partner had the salmon, it was a local product smoked over turf, delicious.
Looking forward to a return visit soon.

I loved this place. Lisa, the owner, is a wonderful host. She took our booking for one night at short notice and gave us the warmest of welcomes.
Our room was pretty with a big comfortable bed ensuring a great night's sleep.
Outstanding breakfast, especially the fruit loaf and freshly baked scones still warm from the oven.
The perfect B&B, only wish we could have stayed longer.

We had two nights here. Lisa was GREAT! So helpful and accommodating despite having had a hectic family festival weekend. We used all of Lisa's advice about local walks and thoroughly enjoyed our short time here. We wished it had been longer. Lisa's breakfast menu is one of the best we have ever enjoyed .We particularly enjoyed her stuffed pancakes and the delicious freshly baked scones and fruit bread were sumptuous. We hope to re- visit!

Going to Donegal then Anseo is an absolute must have.

This is simply the best B&B I have stayed in ever and is up there with the best hotels. It is truly exceptional. My one concern is that publishing how good it is it will be hard to get a room!

The service, décor, rooms, en suite and food are immaculate. The breakfast deserves special mention. I have stayed in top end 5 star hotels all over the world and nothing matches Anseo. My only regret is that we only had a single night here. If you are planning a trip to Donegal then it is worth heading here simply to experience what Lisa has to offer. I will be back to Donegal if for no other reason than to enjoy a stay here, provided of course I am able to get a room. I would go so far as to say I would plan my trip around the availability of Anseo.

What a place, what a hostess. Lisa greeted us with warmth, tea and a snack. The room was spacious, great shower room, and use of the downstairs lounge with plenty of reading material was welcome. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh juice, fresh fruit salad, homemade scones, bread and porter cake, a selection of cooked breakfasts or continental meats and cheeses, toast, jams. Just brilliant. Lisa was on hand to offer lots of advice about where to visit, eat, walk etc. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit North West Donegal.

Magical is really the only way to describe my recent stay at Anseo. Gary and Lisa made our stay so special and the care and consideration shown to my mum was truly exceptional… my mum keeps asking when can we go back. An amazing place and an amazing experience, Anseo takes perfection to a new level…

My father and I stayed here for one night (sadly we couldn't stay longer as all the rooms were booked) while having a short break in Donegal. I'd read the reviews and Anseo certainly lived up to our expectations. Our welcome from Lisa was exemplary and while enjoying our complimentary afternoon tea (delicious home baking), she told us all about the area and made recommendations of restaurants for dinner. The room was beautiful, tasteful decor with all mod cons. After a wonderfully restful night, we really enjoyed the excellent breakfast - the best of Irish produce and home baking. So much thought and work has been put into making this the best B&B and it certainly is the best I've ever stayed in. Thank you Lisa for looking after us so well. We look forward to seeing you again on a return trip to Donegal and then we'll book early to avoid disappointment!!!

Love it love it love it!!
Fabulous breakfasts (Lisa's pancakes are like French crepes and to die for! And she keeps asking if you want another one until you say no! ;)
comfortable colorful beautiful spacious bedrooms with plenty of room for your stuff
topnotch guidance on where to go and what to see! Garry gives directions that take into account where you will probably take a wrong turn and get you back on track. This whole enterprise seems to be a passion for Lisa and Garry!
Wifi, great showers and wonderful books! Check out their Leon Uris book on Ireland, very informative and well written Right near one of the best Blue Flag beaches on earth.
Very quiet location. Did not hear other guests.
Whatever little problems you may run into in your travels, these hosts will happily help you solve them.
You will not want to leave. My husband was like, let's just cancel the rest of the trip and stay here the whole time.
Btw we opted for a downstairs bedroom and although the website mentions the great ocean view from the upstairs bedrooms, we were quite happy with the rustic and beflowered view out back from bedroom #1.

This must be the 3rd time we have stayed here over the years and it's as good as ever- a wonderful warm welcome from Lisa, very comfortable room and lounge, and an amazing breakfast. It's a short walk into town for pubs and restaurants and wonderful beaches and scenery all around - can't recommend it highly enough
