We only stayed briefly whilst doing the NC500 in a motorhome. This was the best site and location on our trip. We would definitely consider returning for a longer stay. Firstly it is a great location very close to a great beaches and walks, with lots more close by. The site seems to have been taken over about a year ago by people that had been summer visitors for many years. This shows in the warm welcome, in the things that they have done to improve the facilities and the little things they have added from a users point of that are much appreciated. I would recommend approaching the site from the south if you have anything bigger than a car. Flossie’s shop near the entrance is an awesome step back in time and worth a visit too.

I have to say that this is one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed at. Tom who welcomed us was very friendly, funny and gave us a full tour of the site. I was really pleased to see the campsite offering eco friendly amenities and the whole place had a really welcoming vibe. The views and local walls were amazing too even on a stormy day.

We stayed with a tent with electric hookup. Staff very helpful and friendly. First thing in morning to last thing at night owner was in office or around site tidying up. Well organised pitches you are taken so you know where to go. Very dog friendly. Loved the dog bar. Surrounding area is breathtaking. Split rock is great to see at beach. We run out of time to see the broch. Can't wait to go back. Oh loved the piper playing at 8pm everynight.

Clachtoll is a great little campsite in a beautiful location. The wardens Tom and Andy are super-friendly and helpful. The site is well run with great facilities and they have thoughtfully implemented the necessary Covid-related changes. The location is right on a beautiful beach with lovely coastal walks and more beaches either side. The discovery of piglets on a nearby hillside was an added delight for our family! The little shop (Flossie’s) on the road outside is extremely well-stocked and seemed to have almost anything you could think of. We hope to come back some day.
