It's a shame they don't do evening meals as the breakfast was excellent. Room comfortable enough. We were glad of the heater though. They did let us eat a takeaway in the dining room, but with just 2 of us there is was really chilly...appreciated the gesture though. May be better to drive to a restaurant unless the fire is... I chose the Station Hotel as a departure from my usual overnight accommodation when on business in the area at this time of year. The room was clean well furnished and the bed comfortable. Never had an en suite with clear glass windows with a view down the main street before so some opaque coating on the glass would save... More

Not sure where to start......arrived and couldn't get in.....5 mins ringing the doorbell produced nothing so had to phone! Room was OK. Staff friendly. Carpark is a potholed bit of tarmac next door to hotel and behind bustop. OK so most reviews here give high marks for the fabulous food....problem is the owners have closed the kitchens ! While we... We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Hotel is upstairs of the pub which is on the street level. Stairs up from an outside door. A bit noisy at night and folks smoked on the street level right outside our window. Room was nice and it was clean. Easy walk down to the water and around town. Food is the... More

We love this place! Our second visit but not our last, the rooms are lovely and the refurbishment still feels brand new, but there isn't hanging space - loads of drawer space though. Good tea and coffee tray, nice bathrooms, great shower! Bring your own shower gel and shampoo, no complementaries. We stayed in the same room ( by chance)... More

My wife and were visiting family in and around Inverness and we managed to find a deal at the Station Hotel in Avoch on the Black Isle just north of Inverness. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room and en suite were immaculate and tastefully decorated. (I particularly liked the blackwatch tartan carpet in... More

We chose this place to end our nc500 bike trip. Our feelings are mixed. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff and taken to our room - we were unsure however which was the actual permitted way to get to our room after this first time as it seemed we either went round the back through staff... Stayed 2 nights whilst away with work alongside 2 other colleagues. Food and ale was fantastic as was the service from the hard working staff. Rooms were clean and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Value for money definitely.

First visit to the Black Isle and I was well looked after on my business trip. Located in a nice wee village called Avoch (pronounced Och in gritty Scots). Received a warm welcome and was shown to my room - situated in the same building but semi-detached with a separate entrance. The en suite room was well kept, well decorated... More
