I have stayed at Hendrewen on several occasions this year due to work, and I have always been made welcome. If I am early, someone will always open up (as yet I have not had to use the side entrance due to everyone at Hendrewen going out of their way to be helpful). The chef (Jim), is always keen to... Arrived here and left within 10 minutes Damp Dirty Smelly Stained Sheets and Bloody mattress protector No lights on stairs Washing draping every where drying Sticky Carpet and barking dog running around the premises I can honestly say I can't think of anywhere bad enough to compare it with. Be Warned Don't Book Here Rated it 1 star but deserves... More

The pub is very dated not just old but very poor condition. As soon as I walked in I smelt the overpowering damp smell. Very dusty rooms with rotting windows, and old bed sheets. The tv is very tiny hardly visible from bed or chair. The plugs taped up. I couldn't stop coughing and sneezing due to dust and damp.... More

The manager, Julie, could not have done more for us during our short stay. She even opened the restaurant for us although they are not usually open on Mondays. The chap who made our breakfast was friendly and served an amazing fry- up. We had the family room which was comfy and we had a great night's sleep. Fab little... More

The Hendrewen Hotel is a B&B and occasional pub-restaurant (it's only open as a restaurant four days a week and only serves food Wednesday to Friday). However they accept B&B bookings for any day of the week. It's quite old fashioned; the breakfast is substantial but but let down a little by instant coffee and only white bread for toast.... More

The building itself is dated and the outside could do with a fresh paint to make it more inviting. The room was very clean the wifi signal worked well (we stayed in room 2). the room is at the front overlooking the road, however, it was very quiet and there was no road noise. was a wonderful nights sleep. Julie... More

Stayed here on 28th May after see the Manics in Swansea (hence the title!). Very friendly place, the landlady and staff were brilliant and the rooms comfortable. Lovely breakfast in the morning. The village is in a beautiful area and we all enjoyed the walk to the waterfall. All the locals were very friendly; there was indeed a welcome in... More

The hotel is very close to the start of The Weatherman's Walk, in fact the waterfall can be seen at a distance from some of the bedrooms! A very beautiful area for walking. Staff are very helpfull, and the hotel is clean, the bed comfortable, etc... There were even blankets for people who do not like duvets. I enjoyed my... More

We were very warmly welcomed to the hotel by Julia, who was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were warm and clean, and they were slightly dated but that goes with the age of the building. You had to walk through some empty rooms with laundry in to get to the room, but this wasn't too bad. There is off... More

I stayed for a short break over Easter, visiting local tourist spots and doing a little walking. This is the second time that I have stayed at The Hendrewen Hotel. With a car it is a convenient base for visiting a number of places throughout the valleys and the Brecon Beacons. I will be back next time I am in... More
