Stayed here one night on way further into Scotland. Would highly recommend, the room was very good and clean. The breakfast also very good as were the very friendly welcoming hosts. Will definitely use again.
Returned to The Maple Tree for another excellent visit and NEVER disappointed! Everywhere is always so fresh and clean and Gill & Robin's welcome makes us feel like family. Ground floor room is perfect with the breakfast room right outside so no distance to walk for the most delicious of food in the morning. We highly recommend this guest house to travellers looking for comfort and exceptional service. The front garden is so pretty and now Robin is installing a pond so we're looking forward to seeing it when we return in October.
I reviewed the Maple Tree in July 2017 and I wish to underline everything I said then. Excellent disabled access makes it a winner in our books....coupled with delightful owners and smashing breakfasts. Lovely warm and comfortable twin room on ground floor with spacious bathroom. Just pop out of the ground floor and your table for breakfast is so close. Good parking behind the building too. Close to bars and restaurants. Need to plan our next visit.
Easy to find and close to everything. Very friendly host and gorgeous dogs in the kennel outside . Room 3 was very spacious and clean with a sofa. Plenty of towels, tea and coffee. Only small gripe, room could do with thicker curtains and/or a blind.
What a nice little place Gillian and Robin were very hospitable, we stayed in room 2 which was spotless and for me a decent sized tv, the breakfast was really good, we would definitely stay here again next time we come up this way. I would recommend this guesthouse to everyone.
