Visited over Easter 4 adults 2 children and 1 very lively border collie. Otter cottage was perfect for us and the children loved the games room. Lovely walks around the farm and woodland areas and just a short drive to local pubs - the Thai Orchid in Dalton was wonderful.

We spent 3 nights in Roe Deer cottage with our grandson and we all loved the cottage and the surrounding area. The cottages have all you need and although the winter weather wasn't great we still found things to do from the surrounding area to the games room on site. A bit of information required in the cottage about disposing...

No words can really describe this place, you have to visit. We've returned time and time again over the last 18 years, give or take a few years in between, but it draws us back. The minute you drive up the lane, you won't be disappointed. You arrive with a personal greeting, spotless clean cottage, relaxed, warm and fuzzy feeling....

We stayed in Hare Cottage which had 3 bedrooms and a downstairs very functional living area which was absolutely perfect for 2 couples and 2 dogs to spend time together in. The estate is absolutely beautiful and the walks are endless. In the accommodation everything has been thought of and the kitchen is spacious as are the bedrooms. There is...

We had a wonderful long weekend: catching rainbow trout in the Lochan; herding cows and sheep on quad bikes; feeding lambs; shooting (and mostly missing!) clays in the pouring rain. Anthony could not have done more to make us welcome. Only wish we had had longer here - in which to see the elusive red squirrel!

1 week stay in south lodge. We really enjoyed our stay. Blue sky's made it even better! Kids are welcome to feed the lambs and chickens - Fresh eggs for breakfast! Quad biking safari was brilliant navigating between fields and taking in the views from top field all guided with great training and safety in mind. Worth a visit to...

As a family we booked two cottages. Both were really lovely, cosy and just what we needed. All necessary kitchen equipment and good laundry room too. The children loved the games room. Bedrooms were spacious and plenty of cupboard space in the accommodation. Plenty of activities (if time permitted) like quad biking or fishing. Planning to go again soon ....

Very peaceful location, with some great woodland and river walks. Nice little cottage, very comfortable with all we needed, including all the makings for a real fire each night. It's a bit of a way off the main road but that adds to the tranquility.

We took advantage of a special offer to stay in this fabulous 5 bedroom, recently refurbished Farmhouse on the estate. It is very spacious and offers the highest level of comfort and style, with log burners, central heating and a traditional Aga in the well stocked kitchen. The house is very warm and cosy despite the size. The king size...

What a fabulous courtyard cottage retreat in the heart of Dumfries. Lured by the Ladies Salmon Fishing School I was not disappointed and learnt a huge amount about fishing for salmon on the beautiful river Annan at Kirkwood. I was given a warm welcome by the other ladies particpating on the course, the food was fabulous, the host inspiring and...
