It took us a little while to find this hotel, we had to go to the nearby restaurant for access. The room was lovely and quiet, nice and bright. Lots of hot water. Wifi good. I slept well here. Recommended.

Lovely surprise of a hotel once we found it. The owner, Oscar was very welcoming and we loved the layout of the hotel. There were a few common areas that were very comfortable. Our room was also comfortable and clean. Bathroom clean. Had dinner in his restaurant a few doors down and the meal was typical pilgrims fare at a...

This is a well renovated hotel, comfortable but not luxurious, in a good location, just off the Camino. The reception staff were helpful but spoke little English. There was no view from our room. There is a lift so no problems with luggage. The rooms are a good size (enough room for luggage), with twin beds. The beds are comfortable...

Beautiful hotel in the outskirts of Castrojeriz , the room is very spacious, also the bathroom . When we arrived we were greeted by a very young and polite girl that took our names and then showed us to our room , what a beautiful room , the decoración , the bed very comfortable , most definitely I will recommend...

As others have mentioned, Oscar does double duty between the desk at the hotel and helping the waitstaff at the Meson just down the way. He was at the desk and we checked in quickly, went up to our room and marveled at the huge shower, room size and comfortable beds. I think he gave us the handicapped room because...

I must admit we found it hard to find first up, as there are two Posadas, but we just asked at the first one, then a local chap helped too. But once we arrived it was very worthwhile. We got the Matrimonial room, which is very large and a big Queen bed. Our day on the Camino was the worst...

Door locked when I arrived so noticing the sign I went down to the bar 20m down the road to get checked. Oscar walked back with me sorted the keys etc. very helpful and friendly. Nice decor in the lounge are, but a few poor areas such as wiring showing on light fittings on the stair case. My room was...

There are now two Posadas in Castrojeriz and we were initially directed to the Hotel Castrojeriz Emebed Posada on the Plaza Major. La Posada de Castrojeriz is a few hundred metres further through the village and left off the Camino path. It is hard to find and as reception is at the bar/restaurant El Mesón, just head straight there. Staff...

Stayed one night while doing Camino. Hard to find and like others said checkin was at a bar just down the road. Staff (of 1) busy as serving drinks and checking in people. Room ok but bed very small for 2 people. Tea ok and breakfast is the standard bread, yogurt and coffee. Happy to stay here but maybe get...

I originally booked at the Meson de Castrojeriz but got upgraded to the Posada which is a very nice stone house from the XVI century. This was a stop in the camino for me, and it was very rewarding to stay in such a nice place after a day of walking in the rain. The price was reasonable. The room...
