Emebed posada is a 19th Century house in the middle of the village. This house was completely modernized from top to bottom while an effort has been made to retain some of the original features of the house. The views from the Dining Room and outdoor patio are outstanding; a nice place to have a glass of wine and some cheese. It has 10 rooms, all of them bigs and comfortables.

very clean, attractive, rooms with a nice breeze in an interesting building. It felt fairly luxurious with plenty of hot water and open room with simple but elegant decor. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
It is situated right on the Camino and not far from the castle if you want to walk up the hill for 10 to 15 minutes. There was a room where you could sit and a terrace if you wanted to sit outside. The company that booked my stay also booked my breakfast – it was pretty simple but on par for some other hotels. Coffee, croissant, toast with butter and jelly.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve stayed in while in Spain - beautiful for many reasons! After arriving hurt from a long day on the Camino, Margarita arranged for me to get a calf and foot massage for my Achilles and then provided me with an ice pack. I truly think this will make the difference in recovery and will get me back onto the Camino sooner! We also were able to take advantage of their laundry service so one less thing to worry about. The relaxing back terrace has a lovely view and contributes to the overall “zen” of the hotel - you feel like you’re in a spa and as another reviewer mentioned, it’s an oasis! The food was delicious too. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

This simple but very stylish small hotel is a treasure! The rooms are immaculate and the hostess (Margarita) provides an atmosphere that nourishes the soul. This is a great place to stay along the Camino. Have a glass of wine on the patio and take in the expanse of the surrounding valley.

We stayed at the Emebed Posada on our travels through the Camino and it has so far been the best of any accommodation we have found since our departure from St John, The friendly people here went out of there way to make our stay the most enjoyable. The rooms are modern and spotless, we had a lovely dinner here overlooking the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this Posada to all. Suzanne

Splendid.

Very helpful staff including, what I assume is, the resident proprietor. All speak excellent English, but still tolerate my inept Spanish pronunciation.

Rooms are large and spotless with views across the valley.

Private terrace and large dining / breakfast room.

Having chosen not to eat here - simply to take a look round town - I regret that decision.

Strongly recommended.

Perfect location right on Camino high above modern town and central to everything. Modern, lovely rooms in old home overlooking valley below. Great terrace and restaurant as well as den and patio below for just hanging out. Hostesses are gracious, arranged a massage for us after 2 weeks of walking. This is arguably our best room on Camino thus far.

If you get a chance to stay at this hotel- it's a MUST!! The owner Lydia is so sweet and helpful. (And an amazing cook!!- best gazpacho I've ever had).

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and prettily decorated. Best nights sleep I had on the Camino.

The views are great from the room and the wine was delicious at dinner!

Say hello to Lydia for me. I'm the crazy American that kept telling her te' amo!

Stayed just one night sadly, what a beautiful place it is. Looked after extremely well nothing to much bother. Ate evening meal which was also delicious.
Definitely recommend. The village was busy with the local football team playing and numerous walkers.

Castrojeriz. Hôtel Emebed Posada. 29.5 km. 176.1. 1st October 2019

Castrojeriz is nice town on the Camino. Two churches and one castle are a beautiful view.
This was our last Camino day (for this year) so we indulged in this beautiful Emebed Posada.
Nice big confortable room , big bathroom and nice terrace (see pictures)

Thanks Marta for your hospitality !

This was truly an oasis for three of us who were doing the Camino de Santiago. This hotel has beautiful decorations everywhere from the office to the dining room to the bedrooms. It is apparent that much care and love went into decorating this hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable. The views from the dining room and terrace are lovely. Management was kind and helpful. Highly recommended!
