What a wonderful stay we had at Chateau La Thuiliere. We should have stayed on much longer, it was such a joyous experience...like a dream. Wonderful hosts, serving up the most delicious breakfasts, (make sure that you make a reservation for dinner too, it's a very special event, indeed). The bedrooms are tastefully appointed, beds are large and comfy. A...

We highly recommend this warm, beautiful chateau and its charming, hospitable owners, Jordi and Eduard, including Patch, the dog. It is the perfect place to stay in the Dordogne for exploring all the history and wine. Jordi is not only an owner but also a fantastic chef. We loved the breakfasts in the amazing kitchen and we especially enjoyed the...

A little bit out of the way and to the north of Bergerac and the Dordogne which is worth considering if you plan to spend most of your time to the south. The property is a lovely chateau, both rustic and charming. There aren't many rooms so its a fairly personal experience however that can also have a warmth about...

This place is amazing. The site breathes history, even if the chateau is not that old. Coming up the driveway, you feel like indulging in luxury, within a quite calm environment. The chateau is great. On the main floor are some large rooms, with high ceilings, which are used as foyer or dining room. During our stay, the weather was...

Beautiful room (no 3 of 5) and decor, lovely food, very hospitable and attentive patrons. In summary and a luxurious ambience that's second to none and a real treat. Highly recommended and a perfect location for a romantic few days.

This is a beautiful old chateau set in a small village pretty close to Bergerac. It has been renovated in a stylish (but not over-styled) way, retaining quite a lot of authentic original features (the wallpaper in the living room, for example). It's got a very nice relaxed, no fuss feeling to it (honesty bar, etc). We used it for...

A beautiful place with delicious food and great hospitality. We couldn't have wished for more. Inca, our golden retriever, was made very welcome and loved the grounds to wander in. Jordi and Eduard helped us make arrangements with their local vet for Inca's check-up and required worming treatment prior to our return to the UK. This made it so easy...

Wonderful hospitality from Jordi, Eduard and all else. Breakfasts are vast and delicious, dinner is outstanding as Jordi has real passion for great ingredients, Eduard is always on hand to offer excursion advice and guidebooks, our room was beautiful - as is the chateau and the surroundings. You really need a car to get anywhere. Dog friendly.

La Thuiliere is truly one of the more special places I've stayed. The communal spaces, with a fabulous mix of old and new are simply wonderful and could see you casually whiling a day away. The hosts are brilliant and bend over backwards to make your stay special. The location is a lovely secluded spot about 30 mins away from...

We booked into Chateau La Thuiliere to escape a terrible hotel in France - an excellent decision all round. Our hosts Jordi and Edward were so welcoming that you felt yourself unwind as soon as you stepped through the door. A stunning hotel that is not pretentious - you are encouraged to enjoy the reception rooms and gardens as you...
