Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel was clean and tidy, the room I stayed in was also clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The bed was comfortable, and had a small table so that as it was a business trip i could comfortably catch up on emails etc. There was plenty of parking, and breakfast was good. would recommend.

Overall staff need to be retrained. First, staff kept chatting at reception when I arrived. Obviously they were not welcoming. The situation was the same when I visited reception during my stay. If they need/want to talk, I would suggest they do so in their office behind reception. Second, some staff did not even greet in public space. Given that very few guests stayed at that time, it seems less likely that they were too busy to greet. It would be rather their behavioural problem, a crucial one to work in hotel.

First time staying at this hotel but it definitely won’t be the last. It’s a lovely hotel with a really nice atmosphere and our executive room was very nice. But what makes this hotel all the better is the staff. The lady on reception who checked us in was so friendly and informative and made us feel very welcome. All the people in our group commented on how lovely she was and what great first impression of the hotel she gave. This continued to be the case with every member of staff we interacted with. The lounge staff, bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaners were all just so lovely and made us want to return. Thank you for a lovely stay, we look forward to our next visit.

A fabulous place to stay. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Got here a bit early so got the choice of taking a different room which was actually better for us than the one we booked if we wanted to check in straight away. Lovely room, so comfy and everything you could possibly need including a little fridge/chiller. . Never had that in a hotel before so that was a great touch as we’d brought some drinks etc with us. We had added the Marriott app ( free to join and become a member) and because of that we got free WiFi, free parking for the entirety of our stay and early check in so well worth adding . There is a very nice family restaurant a 4 minute walk away which has a normal menu or carvery option and the food was really good and brilliant value. The bar area at the Marriott was also excellent , very comfortable, quick service and good value . I would definitely stay here again next time I’m up in Leicester . Thank you

Nice wide opened lobby. Staff were friendly. I appreciated being offered an upgrade due to status. Room was very quiet and had black out curtains which equaled good sleep. The central air ran smoothly and was quiet. The executive lounge was average for a lounge in England. Continental breakfast to include scrambled eggs; snacks/drinks in the evening. I have no issue with a property being somewhat dated, the towels and duvet covers were dingy but clean, soft and comfortable...but the amount of stains on the furniture was off putting. The windows in the room do not open, I found this claustrophobic. I prefer the option of opening a window to allow for fresh air. The property takes allergies seriously.

We had a lovely time here and will definitely come again Pros Staff everywhere ,who were all polite, professional and friendly, working hard. Rooms are wonderful, quiet , big and had a premium feel. The Executive Lounge is fabulous. Gym was great to use. The place was spotless. Beds , glorious Buffet breakfast was fantastic Cons Hotel parking was very expensive , should be free for a hotel or this size and stature. Restaurant was underwhelming with exorbitant prices.

Excellent hotel. We hadn't stayed here before, but as a hotel I can't fault it. The staff on check-in and check-out were amazing and Anton was a star, packing the car for me. We would stay here again.
