The room we got was cozy, the linens were clean and the room warm. The house is beautiful and there is everything there you need. The staff were extremely accommodating and the owners are very knowledgeable about the fjord. If you want to do some hiking there is plenty to do here. Breathtaking scenery. Thank you Pall and Halla!

We were cycling through Iceland and this was one of the stops we planned to make. We hadn't booked anything ahead and the weather was good enough for camping (we thought). After having registered at the house we were told to pitch out tent anywhere on the campsite, where there was a simple cabin with one toilet, sinks and a...

We stayed there for 3 nights in a double private room, in an annex to the hostel. The proper hostel has a charm, with its older look, while the annex is very modern, with a terrace and a view of the moutains. Its really quiet, the owner is helpful and very kind. The kitchen is well equiped and the main...

The location of the hostel is amazing. There is pretty much nothing else around except for the mountains and a few other farm houses. It's a beautiful setting. Calm, relaxing. The hostel itself is very well taken care of. One of our best stays at HI hostels. We had a warm welcome from the hosts, who are very friendly. Highly...

This guest house is located in a remote valley but not so difficult of access, surrounded by white capped mountains and with good possibilities of hiking. The owner is one of the friendliest we came across during our 3-week trip across Iceland is devoted to help you. They prepare breakfast for an extra price. They gave us a tip for...

We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy little house. Great owner, spectacular view, all the facilities. The location is also very convenient - right in the middle of the way from the ferry to the West fjords or Holmavik. Also, we highly recommend to include breakfast - it was brilliant :) 10/10

The hostel was really beautiful, in a bit of an ancien style. The owner was really nice and the kitchen was the best equipped I've seen in three weeks. The bunk beds didn't leave much space for our heads, but it was probably because the ceiling was low, so we didn't mind. Only negative point: it was a really expensive...

This quaint little farmhouse is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. The couple that run it are friendly, very sweet and helpful. The Westfjords are stunning to travel to, but exhausting to navigate through. However, was greatly aided by the wonderful and peaceful sleep I had in this hostel! Had a very nice, homey feel to it.

We arrived around 17:00, The kind man that checked us in was very nice, and was a pleasure talking to. He advised where would be a great view of the sun setting, and where to hike to! We also booked a great horse rental/ riding through the hostel, and took a recommendation to have Belgium waffles in the next town...

Located quite well: not far from the only town in the surroundings-Isofjordur, in a beautiful enclosed and remote bay (however bad road to get there!) Based in an old farmhouse, this place consists of several small rooms, just like a normal house. This is quite compact and sometimes busy around dinnertime, but it feels very cosy and warm. The couple...
