We stayed at The Old Timbers on 24th August after my niece’s wedding in the village. We received a very warm and friendly welcome, with tea and biscuits! Our room was really lovely, and we had a private bathroom, all spotlessly clean. The bed was super-comfy . The breakfast was second to none , with a superb choice of fruit, cereals, yoghurts, cooked breakfasts and local honey and jams for the toast. Kate and her husband were wonderful hosts, and I would heartily recommend The Old Timbers to anyone who enjoys a country setting and high quality accommodation.

Stayed for three nights last month. First class b & b. Kate and Anthony are friendly, welcoming hosts. Comfortable room and great breakfasts! Lovely house. Great pub in the village for food and beer within walking distance.

A real pleasure to stay at such a charming home. Everything was well thought out from the welcome with tea and biscuits to the discreet provision of the bill in an envelope tucked under the side plate at breakfast. Room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and breakfasts were excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at Old Timbers on a Sunday evening after visiting Bath and Winchester for the Jane Austen festival. The cottage in the quiet village of Upper Farringdon is very nice and our host Kate was very pleasant as she showed us around the accommodation which looked great. We unpacked and then sat and searched the web for somewhere to get a Sunday evening meal, which proved just a little more difficult than expected (ended up at a quite good Chinese restaurant in nearby Petersfield) Slept well in a very comfortable bed, enjoyed a good shower and came down for breakfast... Kate provided a large choice of excellent food and we both felt well set up for the day when we left. Old Timbers is now on our 'places to stay' list, and we will certainly recommend

What an absolute gem of a place! From the friendly welcome accompanied by tea and biscuits to the lovely room to the sumptuous breakfast and everything in between. You could not ask for a more friendly host or be made to feel like a special guest rather than just a passing traveller. The location is in a beautiful village and a short stroll to delicious pub food at the Golden Pheasant. Thank you to the recommendations by Kate we enjoyed a visit to the Lavender Long Barn and a magical visit to Alresford including a gorgeous river walk. Just a magical weekend from start to finish
