We spend a magical weekend at Skerrols House. Everything was outstanding; The host-couple Caroline and Thomas, our tastefully decorated room, the communal areas, the best breakfast in many years and much more. This is not a B&B but a beautiful home opened up to the lucky few. Skerrols House could charge twice the rate( and this is only my opening...

Skerrols House is situated out in the rolling green fields of Islay. Accommodation is modern and very comfortable with nice furnishings and a great host, Thomas. The lounge has a lovely open fire. Glasses and bottled water are provided to allow guests to enjoy any single malts they may have purchased from the island's many famous distilleries. The bedrooms are...

I have found this place purely by chance, because no one else happened to have two rooms for my dates. And I must say that fate was in a very generous mood. The place is amazing, it is beautiful, with all possible comforts and with the most impeccable service. Breakfast was perfect, the host very friendly and knowledgeable. Sunsets from...

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. The host, Andrew, is charming, hospitable and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and new. It is centrally located. There is a nice gathering room on the first floor where guests can gather and discuss the day's activities. The breakfasts and service were awesome. The men loved the generous...

Our room was very comfortable and it was a welcome change that the lounge area was set out for the guests to settle and enjoy some quiet time or chat amongst each other. The breakfast was...

Beautiful property, well-appointed twin rooms, great bathroom and fantastic common areas. Best of all was the host Tomas and his attentive hospitality - one of the best hosts of any place I have ever been. Oh ... the breakfast was great also.

Rooms were spacious comfortable clean and well decorated. Breakfast was fantastic with the menu being more of an idea of what you could order with nothing too much trouble. The selection of fruits and continental option was great. Our hosts simply couldn't do enough for us. Location a little off the beaten track but a short taxi ride into Bridgend...

Our stay at Skerrols House started off on a wonderful note with a very warm welcome from Thomas. He showed us around the gorgeous house and to our very nice room. Everything looked fresh and new (which you cannot take for granted in the UK!). The location of Skerrols House was perfect...overlooking fields and hills and a view of a...

Stayed 2 nights on Islay Island at Skerrols, Thomas welcomed us with open arms on arrival. Getting to Islay is easy, 2 hour ferry ride from Kennacraig to Port Askaig then a 10 minute drive. Beautiful room with an extremely peaceful view, the bed was comfortable and room temperature could be changed by simply opening the window. Breakfast was yummy,...
