We stayed here with friends on a whiskey tasting holiday. The hotel was great and Lorna really helpful (and good fun) in helping us plan our trip. Both restaurants are worth a visit and the breakfast are amazing - it was great to see Mary's smiling face on a morning! Good value, we would definitely stay here again.

I have to admit to sneaking into the Hotel for breakfast on the odd occasion just to be cheered up by Mary (and a kipper or plate of bacon and eggs). Mary, like the rest of Lorna's team, is fantastic and great fun (as you say). Thank you for the review; I hope you make it home safely.

Sorry I have left this review rather a long time to finish ! But all good things etc ! We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely clean friendly beautiful little place. We found it by accident, and the owners / staff couldn't have been pleasanter. The bedrooms were clean and roomy. The bathrooms clean. The furniture a...

Hopefully we have managed to improve our publicity since August last year - we concentrate on looking after our guests, not shouting about it. A little more work on promotion is required. Although this is an historic review, I am really glad you enjoyed yourself and hope that you'll be back soon.

We stayed here sadly for only two nights, from the minute we arrived we were impressed with the warm greeting from Lorna the manager and all her staff.Rooms were superb clean and well furnished,as noted by herself. As we had brought the dog along we ate in the bar which was not a problem .The food choice and quality were first...

Thank you for such a lovely review - I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. For those who don't want to leave their dogs in the car or have them in their room (for a small charge) we do have a dog kennel available that is really handy if it's wet. Just give us a little warning...

When everything fits together it is fantastic! Local beer, good weather, pretty garden, decent room and a delicious dinner. We can't guarantee the weather but we do try to get the rest right. Thank you for your review and I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay.

From when I picked up the phone to book and until we left there was nothing but pleasantness from all the staff.I was wanting a room for four nights but they only had a room for two nights,so they recommended a B&B only five minutes away. The lounge area was comfortable and the diningroom light and airy. Our room was comfortable but...

Thank you for writing a review. One of the features of Islay is that there is not much traffic and therefore few roads. Most of the hotels are, by necessity, close to a road and as the Bridgend Hotel was at one stage a coaching inn, this is to be expected. As you rightly observe there is little noise. I...
