What a lovely place to make as the base for our Autumn weekend away. Chloe is a really lovely hostess with Fergus and Florence acting as back up! Our bedroom suite was so comfortable and breakfast was everything one could ask for . Fiona and Patrick Bath U K

Thank you Chloe for the most wonderful of stays with you. The accommodation was pure luxury and we still have dreams about the copper tub! The food is 5* and is worth the price alone but the conversation and little touches just put everything over the top, in a really really good way. Even the homemade shortbread was amazing and... Little Idyll makes a wonderful escape from the frenetic pace of life! Chloe was the perfect host, greeting us with a most welcome cup of tea and home-made shortbread. It is situated in a rural setting but serviced by a regular bus, making it convenient for visitors who arrive without a car. Chloe cooked us a wonderful breakfast and a... More

Lovely cottage with large (kingsize) room and wow en-suite bath/shower-room and loo. Stayed for 2 nights visiting friends in the area - very convenient for Yarmouth etc. Chloe's friendly welcome, attention to detail and great breakfasts a real reason for visiting again and we certainly will! We wish her and Rob all success in the future.

We booked Little Iydll for a short 3 night break, and booked into the slightly bigger of the 2 rooms ... the one with the copper bath. Although Little Iydll is on the main road, there is very little traffic, and it really was very peaceful ... loads of bird life, horses and sugarpuff eating badgers provided much of the... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here to celebrate our anniversary. We'd never visited the IOW before and Little Idyll was the perfect base. Location was good with a pub within walking distance and a few more options within a short cab distance. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms immaculate. Our bath was amazing! Homemade shortbread has gone... More

With our friends we have just returned from a three night stay at Little Idyll. Having never stayed in a B&B before I was a little nervous but need not have worried. Chloe and Rob were amazingly accommodating, made us feel at ease, we enjoyed the use of the garden and lounge areas and the ensuite rooms were very comfortable.... More

We found Little Idyll very easily from the ferry port of Yarmouth. On arrival we were greeted with tea and cakes and a warm welcome from Chloe. The room was lovely and cosy and finished to a very high standard with beautiful views across the countryside. The bathroom was impressive and again, everything was perfectly finished. There is a variety of... More

We enjoyed the excellent B&B with accommodating hosts on Isle of Wight. Chloe and her husband were flexible on our late arrival and had us fill out our breakfast preferences before we fell first into the copper bath and next into the very comfortable bed with its bright white sheets for a good sleep. Next morning we had a first... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Little Idyll is a grade II listed thatched, stone property, dating back to the 16th century, set in Ningwood, in the beautiful West Wight countryside. The exterior of Little Idyll projects an image of the quintessential 'Old England'. Step inside, and you'll find that the stonework and ancient timbers have been skillfully blended with a few contemporary pieces. With only three double bedrooms, the house is ideal for an intimate escape in splendid, rural surroundings. The large garden has a tranquil fish pond, and usually has a flurry of garden birds popping in for their meals. As well as the odd fox, rabbit, pheasant and woodpecker. You may find that you waste a couple of hours just watching all the creatures rush about with their daily business. ... more   less
