We enjoyed a delicious steak dinner, cooked the way we requested, in the restaurant of the hotel. It is a small, friendly hotel with a very pleasant beer garden at the back. The menu is standard pub fare but realistic in price and generous in portion size; also the service is quick and friendly. The dining area is cosy, full...

This is the second time I've stayed at the Abermain Hotel in the last 6 months and both times were great. The first was with my footy team and we had the run of the hotel. We spent the day in the vineyards and at the Abermain Bowlo and then came back to the hotel for the evening. We cooked...

The Abermain Hotel is the hidden jewel of the Hunter Valley. I have enjoyed many stays here over the years with friends & family when visiting the Hunter for concerts, weddings, birthdays & wineries. Rover Coaches also has pick up from the hotel to concert venues, which is very handy. The Owners & locals are very friendly & cannot do...

This place is more like a B&B and was perfect for what we needed, a place to stay that was easy to get to a concert we were going to in the Hunter Valley, when we booked the staff very kindly told us about a bus pick up service which was great.

Our group of 12 ladies stayed at the Abermain Hotel in August 2015, following a day of wine tasting in the Hunter Valley, which was just 10 mins away. Larry and Kerrie the owners were wonderful - very welcoming and keen to ensure that we were taken care of. They arranged for a local thai restaurant to deliver our dinner...

We looked everywhere for a Hotel to stay where we could basically have it to ourselves. We came across The Abermain Hotel by accident and we were so glad we did. There was 19 of us from Sydney who have known each other for many years through school and footy. We were looking for somewhere to get away and catch...

We stayed here for two nights while we toured some wineries in the hunter valley. We loved the hotel, it had so much charm. Larry was a very welcoming host. The rooms were clean and the common area had tea & coffee facilities as well as board games for families.
