Just stayed the weekend at Sam's amazing cottage otherwise known as 'The donkey shed'in Georgeham,Devon
We booked it to surprise our Son who was down with friends for a nearby surf weekend to celebrate a special Birthday & what a great find, we loved it's authentic cottage interior complete with beams & a wood burner, it was v clean, organised & well kitted out,the beds were comfy & we slept well in this peaceful village, we especially liked all the rustic artwork throughout & our welcome goodies were a very thoughtful & generous touch,Sam was a great host from start to finish:)

We had previously stayed here as a couple for B&B with continental breakfast and had been well looked after, so it was our first choice for self catering with an extra visitor (there would have been room for another couple as well). Well designed used of compact space including a very well equipped kitchen. The self-contained annexe was comfortable and private. A full bath was available as well as showers. Sadly the weather did not encourage us to sit in the lovely peaceful garden, but it was great to have the sitting/dining room instead. Sam very kindly made sure we had bread, milk and fruit when we arrived. Good value including a parking pass for Putsborough Beach. One dedicated parking space available plus on-road parking opposite the house. Free wifi, but mobile phone reception a bit patchy inside the house. We had a lovely stay.

We stayed in the donkey shed for one night after a wedding in Croyde, no accommodation in Croyde for one night unless you want to pay £180 plus!! which is a bit pricey so got taxi to Sams lovely little BandB, what a delightful little place with all everything you would find in much dearer places. We loved it!! Dont go because its better value, go because its spot on and you get a very friendly warm experience.

Delightful self contained annexe across the path from Fernleigh. Comfy bed with a surprisingly welcome electric blanket. A fridge and cupboard full of delicious breakfast goodies, and a great modern bathroom. This accommodation is right in the heart of the village very close to two splendid pubs serving great food and with easy access on foot or by car to exceptional Devon beaches. And, as if that wasn't enough, fantastic price.

We stayed one night at The Donkey Shed last weekend. Sam couldn't have been more welcoming. The room was clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfy with electric blanket...very welcome in February! We enjoyed the breakfast arrangement which meant making our own in the little kitchen area of the room. Sam provided delicious cereals, bread, spreads and tea and coffee. We could have breakfast when we chose and didn't even have to get dressed for it! There was no rush for us to leave which was great. We will definitely return.

Lovely snug room. Sam and Missy made us very welcome and we had a lovely couple of days at the Donkey shed. Every thing you need for continental breakfast is included in the room so you can make your self at home.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful village. Thoroughly recommend The Rock Inn just 5mins walk away! Sam is a great host & we hope to revisit in the near future. Lots to do in the area including stunning beaches with vast stretches of sand.

We stayed in the Donkey Shed for 2 nights. It's the perfect little self-contained space, with everything you need for a short stay. Comfortable bed, great shower and lovely selection for breakfast. Low ceiling beam in bathroom (beware tall people!) and everything is compact, but you don't need anything else for a short stay when the 2 pubs nearby are great and most people visit to be outdoors a lot. We'd definitely stay again - thanks Sam!
