The location si wonderful in a big park, nice cottage with sauna and fireplace inside. I've been there in low season so not all the facilities were open, but see the northen light from the terrace on the lake was the top of the experience! You can walk on a little hill with a panoramic view, see the reindeer on...

Our holidays were perfect. The Finnish food is excellent in a the warm atmosphere of the dining room. The bedroom is comfortable in a quiet environment. Different activities (snowmobile, fishing - no fish for us, husky) are well organized trough marvelous landscapes We were lucky, we had the chance to see northern light on the frozen lake. Many thanks to...

The owners and employees were all wonderful. The lodging was perfect and the safaris were awesome. We were frankly surprised at how much we enjoyed this trip. Though the safaris were great, the days we were not on a safari and just wandering about the site and on the frozen lake were very enjoyable too. Do bring good extreme weather...

Wonderful small cottages flocked around a very pretty central building where meals are served by very kind hosts. At mealtimes you usually sit together with other guests at the same table, which creates a home-like atmosphere. We were there in Winter to see the aurora borealis, however we had no luck because it was overcast the days we were there....

Since 1992 with a few exceptions I have visited Loma-Vietonen: 2 weeks in winter (by airplane) and 1 week in summer (by car, travelling around in Finnish Lapland). I found the kindness and charmingness that the host-family transmitted to the guests gave the whole place an exceptional character. Specially in winter I have met people from other countries: France, Spain,...

We stayed there for 1 week in March. It is definitely one of the best place we have ever been to. People are very nice. We especially would like to thank Yuka for sharing his knowledge of Lapland with us. He has been a tremendous guide for us during this week. The owners of the place are also very friendly....

Last stop on a two week tour. Stunning location with a lake at your door. Free boats to splash around in. Clean - except the dishes where not clean at all and poor cooking capabilities as there was no oven. And only too heating plates. Last thing to fellow travellers on self catering tours like this. Stop using metal cooking...

“Either get a chalet with included sauna or ask for a room by the lake. The "group" sauna costs by the hour. The rooms by the lake are larger, somehow more quaint and closer to the view point for aurora.”
