We went for a meal, met by a polite person, was seated and then the wait began. No menu arrived, no offer of a drink. We had a great view of the staff arguing over something that had happened in the basement. Eventually a waitress came over and said "we do not have any menus avaialble, do you want a...

We went up and stayed in Kilcreggan for a week. On the first Sunday we stopped by for a Sunday roast at the Kilcreggan Hotel. The food and service were absolutely excellent. On the last evening of our holiday we decided again to push the boat out a went to a different local hotel at Cove just along from where...

Arrived at our cottage on the late side and needed to find dinner. Found the hotel and were not expecting much. Pleasantly surprised to find a varied menu and nice wine list. The charming waitress informed is up front there would be a wee wait for dinner. The owner chef prepared homemade quality meals and we enjoyed the ambiance of...

We two couples had dinner at the hotel on a Sunday evening in summer. The view across the water was lovely, the waitress was friendly and helpful, the food taste and portion size were fine and the even the not-so-cold UK beer (for an Aussie) was OK. Two courses for under £10, good value too. Highly recommended.

I recently spent 4 days in Kilcreggan Hotel with family and absolutely had a ball, we were greeted with a very warm welcome and although we arrived after breakfast had finished, we were accommodated with a full Scottish breakie - my compliments to the chef, the food was delicious so much so we had all our meals in the Hotel,...

We came here as our usual fish and chip shop was closed. The venue was quiet but we had an excellent fish and chip dinner for two. Great service, fresh fish and nicely cooked chips. Lovely tartar sauce, homemade I think.

I live locally but hadn't visited the hotel in sometime. The occasion was a family meal to celebrate the 60th birthday of my brother-in-law. Unfortunately there wasn't much to celebrate. I honestly don't know where to start. The place was very quiet but despite this service was slow and disjointed to the point that none of the starters nor main...
