Stayed here for a couple of nights. Rooms in the courtyard are brand new. I was in room 2. It was very clean. The bed was one of the best I have ever sleep on in a Hotel/B+B. Nice and quite, only sound I heard was people leaving the car park after the pub closed. Breakfast was excellent I had... More

Visited recently and had a superb meal at an extremely reasonable cost. There is also a variety of real ales to chose from. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended especially as meals are available all day.

Visited Red Lion for Sunday lunch, seven days ago, whilst on holiday in the area. Meeting up with our daughter, her partner and his mother who lives in the area. Phoned beforehand to make sure they could provide gluten-free options. Meal was served promptly and was hot and tasty. Two of us chose from carvery and chef went to the... More

We were recommended going through the The Red Lion for Sunday Lunch. The carvery is excellent. The veg is cooked nicely and it's great you can help yourself. The staff are attentive. The desserts are fab. The pub itself is well worth a visit. The menu for alternative meals looks lovely.

We arrived unexpectedly and took one of the chalets at the back. This was very clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom and big fluffy towels. Walls were rather thin though! We had eaten here before and enjoyed it, but this time it surpassed itself with food quality. Two great fish dishes, the only disappointment was that the waitress wasn't... More

We arrived without a booking, 6 of us, 2 adults & 4 children. Staff was very pleasant and made room for us all. The pub is small but works well. The carvery looked delicious so we opted for that, the children wanted chicken, that wasn't an option on the 3 meats available but the wonderful chief went into the kitchen... More
