Exceptional B & B which had all the elements of a great stay :- Superb attention to detail - Rooms and Suites (themed on the great luxurious Steam Locomotives from the past) with many interesting features. Excellent hosts (Lord & Lady Colan and Margaret Langley-Ingress) who were so friendly, couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome, completely comfortable and...

Lord and Lady Ingress run a hidden gem just outside Shrewsbury. It is a former railway station or actually two railway stations. They were both built in the 1800s and have been converted into a warm, comfortable and friendly bed and breakfast. The rooms are well appointed with 400 year old antiques and modern amenities that blend right in with...

Margaret and Colan are the purveyors of a fantastic Bed and Breakfast, where you feel like you are at home. The rooms have amazing pieces of furniture, each with it's own unique story, which really adds to the experience of staying there. Margaret and Colan always have an interesting story to tell, and plenty of suggestions for day trips and...

Visiting this area in mid to late March we booked this accommodation mainly because it was close to Shrewsbury but out of town and therefore had free and ample parking as we had two cars. We liked the sound of it from previous reviews and we were not disappointed in any way. Colanly and Margaret are indeed helpful and friendly...

We spent a lovely five days in June at The Old Station. This B&B has a truly unique character. Our room was very comfortable with a view of the countryside before us. Lady Margaret and Lord Col were very pleasant, helpful, and made us feel at home. We enjoyed a wonderful supper on two nights including a lovely duck done...

I stayed there, left my car and was driven to the railway station in Shrewsbury, and then a few days later, came back with a friend for a little break. This is a delightful place to stay but rather different from anything I have ever experienced before. But Col and Margaret are so kind and helpful. And Margaret's cooking is...

The rooms were full of knick nacs but worked, a frig was provided for dog food, and dog lovers would love the helpfulness of the owners which is not usually avaliable, The food was beyond reproach The Breakfast was one of...

The roast duck lingers in the memory. Spent three days here in May with four friends for our annual reunion. We particularly enjoyed the warm hospitality, the comfortable beds and the first-rate home cooking. Lady Margaret cooks a mean Welsh lamb, as well as the duck. What an unusual place to stay - so much better than a featureless chain...
